Since August 2016 Actavis has been part of Teva. In Bulgaria the combined company is working under the Actavis brand and is the largest employer in the pharmaceutical industry. Actavis - a Teva company - manages two manufacturing plants, sales and marketing organization and a number of global corporate functions.


We are looking for qualified candidate for the role of Associate Director IT Security Operations to be managing the Security Operations and be part of the Technical Operations Team.


About the position

The Associate Director IT Security Operations will manage a global team of security professionals who implement and operate security solutions within the ITO group. 

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Implement & keep security policies, protocols and procedures
  • Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
  • Recruit, train and supervise security officers globally
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
  • Participate as security operation for required project
  • Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches
  • Investigate and resolve issues
  • Create reports for management on security status
  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)


Main requirements
  • Proven experience as security manager or similar position
  • Relevant education and further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset (CISI, CISSP)
  • HO experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. Firewalls, IPS, Webfiltering, Compliance systems)
  • Experience in reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Committed and reliable
  • Knowledge in network configuration and administration, include WAN connectivity & Site to Site VPNs
