The opportunity

  • This position will report directly to the Associate Director Area Sales Gx & Specaility and with direct reports
  • The Sales Manager will have direct accountability of specialty and general practitioners’ group
  • Responsible for all commercial sales, promotion activities, coaching & development of the direct reports

How you’ll spend your day

In compliant to corporate policy and protocol,

  • Sets direct reports performance objectives, conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions
  • Manage a team of sales representatives in achieving individual and team sales target while direct accountability of specialty and general practitioners’ groups
  • Defines team operating standards and ensures essential procedures are followed based on SOPs, processes and guidance
  • Adapts company’s plans and sets team’s priorities to address resource and operational challenges within the team structure
  • Makes decision guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from line manager
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders in Key Accounts to understand customer's needs so as to provide solutions from the company
  • Work closely with Medical Affairs Manager, Marketing Manager and Product Manger to develop Key Opinion Leaders & Key Influencers for focus products
  • Work closely with Tender & Contract department to win supply contracts for focus products and existing products
  • Achieve Sales Target set and execute sales activities in line with business strategy
  • Keep updated records of customer profiles and information
  • Execute marketing activities to drive awareness and prescription of products
  • Ensure smooth implementation of all promotion plans
  • Monitor and constantly feedback effect of promotional activities to manager and marketing department
  • Communicate trade information and competitor activities promptly to manager and marketing department
  • Participate in continuous medical education sessions and promotional activities organized by marketing department
  • Organize and participate in product demonstration, customer engagement activities
  • Provide guidance to understudy Sales Representative when assigned project by Superior
  • Any other tasks and responsibilities as directed by Superior

Your experience and qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years sales experience in a pharmaceutical industry in both specialty and generic business
  • Preferably with 1-2 years of people management experience
  • Diploma or Degree graduate in pharmaceutical, nursing, bioscience, nutrition
  • Diploma or Degree in marketing, business administration may also be considered
  • Proven sales records
  • Proven records of participation in continuous medical education sessions and promotional activities organized by sales & marketing department
  • Proven record of organizing and participation in product demonstration, customer engagement activities
  • Demonstrate strong ability to keep proper documentation and records
