The Position


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands-on Associate Manager, Commercial Quality to look after our Branded/Specialty, Generics, Branded Generics and Biosimilars products for  Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia.

You will be responsible for commercial QA activities within your assigned region as well as providing support for QA activities in other countries within APAC. Strong experience with batch release, audits, and Quality Management System rollout will be critical to being successful in this role.

This is a highly cross-functional role that will require you to communicate effectively with regional internal and external stakeholders. This role will provide you with a good opportunity to learn about regulations from other markets within APAC.

Key responsibilities of this role include:


  • Manage quality oversight and regulatory compliance of products marketed in the country.
  • Quality approval and management of local 3rd party suppliers/manufacturers/distributors.
      • Roll out of Teva Quality Management System. Create, maintain up-to-date and distribute Standard Operating Procedures and Working Instructions.
      • Ensure GMP & GDP compliance at the commercial unit and promote quality culture.
      • Lead GMP and GDP trainings.
      • Initiate continuous improvement of Teva Quality Management System processes.
  • Ensure the market release from approved suppliers based on batch release documentation and transport conditions documentation.
  • Ensure the GDP compliance of the distribution centres.
  • Ensure that quality complaints are registered and properly handled.
  • Handle product recalls and escalate as appropriate.
  • Administer, maintain and develop systems for change control, and deviation and CAPA handling.
  • Ensure that Quality Agreements are drawn up and kept updated with all local distributors, suppliers/manufacturers and 3rd party service providers as required.
  • Host and lead GMP/GDP related competent authority inspections.

The Successful Candidate


  • Degree in relevant Science or Business disciplines. Advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience as a Quality Manager/QP in a multinational pharmaceutical or medical devices company, or healthcare importer/distributor
  • Demonstrated knowledge and working experience with PIC/S GMP and GDP and government regulations for the country
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical industry as it relates to Quality Compliance
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical import and distribution operations
  • Commercial understanding of corporate and operational business issues
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and ability to clearly communicate with all levels in the organization as well as with Health Authorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interface directly with management, sites, commercial and distributors
  • Demonstrate ability to handle competing priorities effectively
  • Required to travel regularly, mainly domestic, up to 20% of the time
