Job Description


  • Compliance program in MEA (Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, Morocco, Ghana and further countries that will be entered in that region). 
  • Establish local SOPs based on global policies and guidelines, principles and standards, applicable laws and regulations (including the industry codes). Revise all local standards and policies timely.
  • Compliance and other risks analysis as well as mitigation proposals in case of new markers entering as well as to commercial approaches in countries of this region.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and compliance advisor for affiliate’s leadership regarding compliance risks, as well as provide guidance to the business functions and field-force regarding the defined compliance standards
  • Provide regular trainings to relevant functions; ensure completion of Global Compliance Training Program, as well relevant trainings for TPRs.
  • Organize and support proper Due Diligence process as required by Global and Cluster requirements.
  • Perform activity risk-assessment, develop and implement a compliance-monitoring plan. Regularly inform local Management Team about monitoring results and ensure adequate remediation and action items.
  • Lead Country Compliance Committee and ensure regular meetings as a key body for Compliance risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Ensure that all activities with HCPs/HCOs/GOs, TPRs are reviewed in line with Teva Compliance clearance process.
  • Perform review/approval of promotional/non-promotional materials in line with SOPs.
  • Support Global Compliance initiatives.


  • Provide practical legal support and advice to all management and business leaders on all legal issues concerning MEA, including but not limited to drafting, reviewing, analyzing and negotiating all types of complex commercial agreements under various jurisdictions and legal systems.
  • Provide assessment and preparation of contracts and other documents of the company based on the relevant legislation and company SOPs.
  • Prepare of changes to the statutory documents of the company if needed.
  • Negotiation of settlements, mitigation of potential disputes and monitoring litigation matters and extrajudicial claims and disputes.
  • Advice and counsel management and business leaders on day-to-day issues including on regulations relating to their activities, as well as changes in existing legislation, regulations and  company SOPs.
  • Support Global Legal initiatives and perform other duties within your competence on task of the management.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law. 
  • 5 years of professional experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as Compliance, Audit, Finance and Legal.
  • Prior in-house experience in the pharma industry is preferred.
  • Fluent English is a must-have and Arabic language skills is an advantage. 
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills paired with the ability to effectively build lasting relationships; demonstrate strong interpersonal and influencing skills throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Results oriented, highly motivated self-starter with a hands-on approach and a strong “can-do” attitude, highest standards of personal ethics and integrity.
  • Strong personality, self-confident and bold in expressing your opinion in a tactful manner.
  • Strong command of international commercial laws, regulations and best practices.
  • Substantive experience drafting and negotiating all types of commercial agreements both local and global.
  • Ability to work independently, team player and ability to work under pressure.
