The opportunity
This role was created to further strengthen EHS&S at a large, business-critical logistics site. It offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape EHS&S end-to-end, combining regulatory and professional accountability with hands-on impact and close partnership with site leadership.
The role has a direct influence on employee safety, operational continuity, and supply chain resilience, while working within a global environment and engaging with international EHS&S forums and colleagues.

How you’ll spend your day
- Lead and take full ownership of EHS&S (Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability) at the site.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations, global standards, and internal procedures through proactive reviews and audits.
- Work hands-on in the field to identify risks, conduct risk assessments, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Partner closely with site managers to embed safety ownership across all departments.
- Lead and deliver safety trainings and awareness activities for employees and leaders.
- Manage safety incidents, emergency preparedness, and business continuity–related EHS&S processes.
- Collaborate with global EHS&S teams and actively participate in international professional forums.
- Track, analyze, and report EHS&S performance, trends, and risks to site and global leadership.
Your experience and qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in a large, global organization, preferably in a complex operational, logistics, or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in EHS or EHS&S, including regulatory compliance, risk assessments, audits, and safety management systems.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices, with hands-on experience implementing them in day-to-day operations.
- Ability to work independently and hands-on, taking end-to-end ownership of the EHS&S agenda.
- An assertive yet collaborative leadership style, able to influence managers and employees and drive adherence to safety requirements.
- Experience balancing a managerial role with hands-on execution in the field.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written), with the ability to actively participate in global forums and deliver presentations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the maturity and judgment to act as both a business partner and an internal regulator.
- A relevant academic degree (Engineering, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Safety, or a related field); additional EHS certifications are an advantage.
