Job Description

Job Purpose:
As the Associate Director Legal, you will perform a variety of legal activities in accordance with the established standards of the legal profession to protect the organization’s reputation and business interests and ensure it complies with all relevant laws and regulation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general legal advice and counsel to commercial and operational business units in Israel to ensure that their current or proposed activities, policies, business practices and transactions comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle corporate governance matters concerning the organization in Israel.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and advise on contracts, regulations, letters, orders, requests and other documents of the company including in-licensing deals.
  • Ensure legal documentations are updated & completed to protect the company assets & interests.
  • Involve in managing external counsel as necessary in representing the company in legal proceedings before courts, government agencies, or other authorities so that the company’s interests are well protected.
  • Provide support to the regional legal as needed.
  • Collaborate with compliance team to ensure business compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Educate company officials with regulations relating to their activities, as well as changes in existing legislation, regulations and policies of company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Law degree.
  • Qualified to practice in Israel
  • At least 5 years of legal experience.
  • At least 2 years' experience in compliance related activities
  • 3+ years of work experience in Pharma industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • A track record of being effective in a multinational company and has global mind-set and cultural flexibility.    
  • Proven ability to effectively build lasting relationships by demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hebrew
  • Leader, eager and business savvy.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive areas.
  • Ability to work under pressure
