Job Description

Position summary:

Result oriented leader in the areas of Global sourcing and supplier base development in the areas of Teva direct Raw materials and both office procurement in both Shanghai and Beijing.  Having high integrity and good execution and can–do spirit in procurement with thorough understanding of Chinese direct market  and office indirect materials (Office equipment, Marketing sales, admin, logistics, office renting etc.) along with business understanding of pharmaceutical / chemical industry.

Execute the strategies from the head of Greater China procurement and head of Global Category to ensure the successful results which will include but not limit to  sourcing, Terms and conduction,  negotiation, cost improvement contracting as well as supplier base management.

Working together with stakeholders and developing category strategy that leverage supplier capabilities, ensure continuity of supply and reduce total cost of ownership.  Create and implement a continuous improvement sourcing approach for key spend areas.

General duties and responsibilities:

Supplier development, relationship building and partnership maintenance - Foster and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment of key business and compliance objectives to Tava Global Procurement Strategies.

Total cost of Ownerships – This role is expected to have complete understanding of market price trend for the related categories to achieve set savings targets year on year basis.

Secure Supply – Expected to be up to date on market situation and ensure security in supply by introducing right alternate suppliers by closely monitoring the movement of both local and international supply markets. Expected to maintain multiple sources for sourced products at all the times to ensure security in supply

Execution seamless: Strictly follow and implement the global procurement policy into daily routines and support the head of Greater China procurment to achieve the results as requied.

Qualifications

 

Key deliverables of the position:

  • Ensure functional teams are supported with costing details for budgeting purposes and ensure without cost overrun while managing procurement for those projects.
  • Align with stakeholders and deliver the strategy implementation.
  • Work closely peers to achieve the objectives assigned to Greater China Procurement.
  • Vendor development for the select categories to deliver long term strategic advantage in close coordination with the sites and related functions
  • Define cost reduction target for category through strategic procurement and deliver on a year on year basis.
  • Project Management of agreed short, medium and long term plans for the identified projects
  • Carry out spending analytics for the procurement area and thus arrive at potential opportunities and action plans.
  • Ensure supplier agreements, contracts and annual timely and followed as a living document throughout the life cycle
  • Ensure compliance to company policy and other local government regulations
  • Have full understanding of business code of conducts
  • Qualifications:
  • B. Tech or above
  • Further Degree / Program in General Management, chemistry, bio-chemistry  is preferable
  • 5-8 years of experience, working at MNC preferred
  • Fluent English in communication, specially writing and speaking
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry

Education

  • B. Tech or above
  • Further Degree / Program in General Management, chemistry, bio-chemistry  is preferable
  • 5-8 years of experience, working at MNC preferred
  • Fluent English in communication, specially writing and speaking
  • Good Computer skill (office program)

Skills and Knowledge
