Job Description

Job title: Regional Category Manager


Purpose:  To manage and lead the Packaging and Manufacturing, Goods & Services categories of the LatAm region within the Global Procurement organization. To generate and deliver ongoing value through year-over-year savings, and act as escalation point to resolve conflicts between suppliers and sites.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the strategy and negotiation of the main packaging materials and main MG&S projects of the region, as well as be the link with the Global team for the Tier 1 suppliers/materials, making as far as possible yearly negotiations that optimize savings and allow price stability in the region.

2. Lead the AOP process for PKG and MG&S categories for all LatAm SKUs.

3. Act as escalation point to resolve conflicts between suppliers, Global Category and sites.

4. Develop processes and agile information sources that allow the Category to interact with the sites and the Global Category in an efficient way. Develop strategies for risk mitigation for the main SKUs and critical services per country. Search and propose alternative suppliers according to quality standards,

Basic Requirements


Academic Background: Bachelor's degree required in business, engineering or Pharmaceutical chemist with experience in purchases.


Experience: 5+ years of experience in Procurement of direct Materials (preferable Packaging) and MG&S. Desirable experience in Pharma, healthcare or related. Experience in Transnational Matrix Structure.


Language: Bilingual Spanish - English
