How you’ll spend your day
- Responsible for performing write-off and variance analysis including verification, approval, consolidation and reporting for both
- Responsible for performing a review and analysis of purchase orders and plant’s spend including preparing correction journal entries
- Responsible for assisting with preparation of quarterly forecast, annual budget and financial closings as needed
- Responsible for participating in ad-hoc projects as needed
- Responsible for completing all training requirements and maintaining 100% compliance with all assignments
- Responsible for maintaining work areas and performing job functions in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Batch Record instructions
- Responsible for performing additional related duties as assigned
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or finance
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related industry
- Experience working with Financial/GL Systems, preferably Oracle and/or SAP
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with working knowledge of variances, bill of materials, routers, write-offs, etc.
- Experience in business modeling, financial analysis, and managerial analysis is preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze information and connect it to corresponding performance metrics
- Self-directed with the ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work with ambiguity
- Ability to effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure
- Communicate effectively with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Interact positively and collaborate with co-workers, management, and external partners
- Project management and advanced presentation skills are preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills, proactive, and able to work independently
