At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines. The Combination Product & Device team specialises in the development of drug/device combination products, such as our MS treatment Copaxone, our migraine treatment, Ajovy, and our global Generics business.

A Day in the Life of a Device Scientist- CPD Lab

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs and supports drug/device combination product testing across multiple device technology clusters throughout the design and development process, including Autoinjectors, Pre-Filled Syringes and Pen Injectors.

  • Supports development/maintenance/continuous improvement of laboratory processes to ensure compliance with ISO13485 and other applicable standards/regulatory requirements.

  • Has an understanding and wide application of scientific/technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. Has acquired some knowledge of key principles in other related disciplines.

  • Provides scientific/technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.

  • Works under broad direction.

  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Frequent internal and external contacts in providing solutions to complex scientific/technical issues associated with specific projects.

Who We Are Looking For?

Do you have?

  • Post-graduate degree in a scientific discipline or relative industry experience required

  • Experience working in a medical device/combination product laboratory/environment preferred, but not a necessity

  • Working knowledge of CSV would be ideal.

  • Health & Safety, CoSHH and Risk Assessment experience is beneficial

  • Lab processes and physical force testing/metrology experience would also be preferred
