At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone. In addition, we are currently preparing to add to our existing technology platform with the introduction of biopharmaceutical products to the site.


We are also home to two R&D centres and a Sterile Training Academy— a centre of excellence within Teva for sterile manufacturing, safety and compliance training.

A Day in the life of a Materials Planner

Our Materials Planners are accountable for the planning, ordering and control of incoming materials (e.g: Raw Materials, Packaging), in line with best practice material management and procurement principles.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • To drive inventory reduction / optimisation initiatives for all incoming materials in line with agreed targets for the site;
  • To be the first point of contact on the site for all incoming material and supplier related issues
  • To ensure compliance in the operational ordering process vs local and global procedures and processes
  • To feedback and collaborate with procurement personnel and suppliers to improve supplier relationships and supplier performance
  • To monitor and maintain accuracy of all supply critical data fields in ERP system.

Who We Are Looking For

Do you have?

  • A degree in a related discipline
  • Previous experience working within planning or procurement with knowledge of planning, procurement and control along the supply chain and their systems
  • Previous experience of managing an ERP / MRP system (SAP APO preferred)
  • Previous experience of working in the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry is desirable


Are You?

  • Organised and have good prioritisation skills
  • A strong communicator, self-starter and team player with the ability to set and deliver high performance standards for self and team members
  • Highly numerate with a strong ability to assimilate information from different sources to generate achievable plans
