Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Procurement Specialist to join the Global Procurement team on a Full Time, Permanent basis in Runcorn.


Global Procurement strives to generate and deliver ongoing value to Teva through efficient and cost effective processes, year-over-year savings, cash improvements and uninterrupted supply of goods & services for Teva at optimal total costs.


Reporting to the UK Procurement Country Lead, the UK Procurement Specialist will be responsible for achieving key Procurement objectives within UK Global Procurement organization, focusing on Direct Spend, MG&S, Labs and Marketing & Sales, Corporate and Professional Services, Media, Fleet, Telecom and Logistics and Distribution, amongst other category areas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key partner to the functional areas within the organization in order to support the development of sourcing strategies, achievement of savings and working capital goals aligned with Teva corporate strategy and financial targets
  • Play a central role in communicating the commercial requirements across the manufacturing functions as well as interfacing frequently with senior management cross functionally and divisionally
  • Develop effective sourcing strategies, ensure compliance to the Global Procurement Policy and ensure that Teva meets all its KPIs in service level and optimized cost
  • Coordinate procurement activities, covering all categories including Direct and Indirect Spend and Commercial Spend
  • Supports to achieve savings targets and share best practices and wins across sub-categories and regions and within category groups
  • Effectively forecast and report savings and working capital benefit delivered in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support the implementation of Procurement Processes and policy implementation within the Country
  • Foster and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment of key business, quality and compliance objectives to Teva’s Global strategic direction and local BU expectations

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • University Degree in Business/Management/Procurement/Supply Chain or similar
  • Extensive experience in the field of Procurement or Supply Chain Management, preferably within the Pharmaceutical or Chemical industry
  • Strong negotiator and project management capabilities
  • Customer-oriented with a pro-active attitude    
  • Good communication skills with the ability to partner with and influence others
  • Experience in Facility Management implementation
  • Strong commercial awareness with a good understanding of digital environment
