Job Description

At Teva Runcorn we are proud of the reputation that we have earned for being able to commercialise new aseptic sterile products for our group in an agile, efficient and compliant manner. We manufacture sterile products for use in the treatment of respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Today, we employ around 500 people, working in a variety of roles encompassing everything from quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing operations, research and development, engineering, microbiology, and packaging.

 

We are currently looking for a Packaging Technology Coordinator – 12 month fixed month contract to join us in Runcorn. The purpose of this multi-functional role is to support change activities associated with primary and secondary Packaging Components ensuring maximum opportunities for efficiency within production operations
In addition, the Packaging Technology Coordinator provides packaging support for new markets launch and through full life cycle in compliance with regulatory guidelines and within agreed timelines.

 

Key responsibilities:


• To co-ordinate all aspects of artwork approval for new products and existing products in new markets, by direct liaison with markets to define expectations, meeting required launch dates and dates for implementation of changes.
• To initiate and manage the process for change control, pallet configurations, outer case labelling, packaging component specifications and Bills of Materials using SAP and provide support to other related areas of the business.
• To work with vendors to improve material design and production efficiencies, minimise component testing, and provide cost savings opportunities
• To input all master data set-up and changes within the SAP ERP system in compliance with Global and site procedures
• To control all packaging artwork in compliance with Market and Regulatory requirements
• To support and provide the preparation of product structures, pallet configurations and packaging component specifications in line with cGMP guidelines, 21 CFR and ISO.
• To identify and support the continuous improvement and standardisation opportunities of packaging component rationalisation.

Qualifications

Applicants should have the following experience / qualifications:

 

• Degree qualified (or equivalent), preferably Science based or in a related subject.
• Related work experience; either experience working in a packaging technology / artwork co-ordination role, ideally within Pharmaceutical Industry, or alternatively experience of working with SAP in a co-ordination role.
• Highly functional computer software skills (Word, Excel, Adobe and ideally SAP). 
• Working knowledge of packaging components, artworks, product structures and cGMP knowledge would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of printing processes for labels, cartons, leaflets and foils and of packaging materials, print, design, origination, Braille and of packaging security and supply chain related bar code systems is highly preferable.
• Knowledge of pallet optimisation software is beneficial (e.g. TOPS) and thermal printing software (Colos, Bartender, Prism or similar)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self- motivation and ability to work on own initiative.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet customer demands and requirements.
