At Teva Runcorn, we develop, manufacture and market innovative and affordable medicines, specialising in sterile liquid products mainly used for treating respiratory conditions using Blow-Fill-Seal technology as well as injectable Combination Products such as our MS treatment Copaxone.


We are also home to two R&D centres and a Sterile Training Academy— a centre of excellence within Teva for sterile manufacturing, safety and compliance training.

What are the OPEX Site Leader responsibilties?

The Operational Excellence Site Leader will lead a local team and is responsible for driving change by implementation of the global Teva Operating System standards and coaching local management and team members to achieve a step change in the performance of the site in terms of quality, service and cost competitiveness while engaging and empowering the site employees.

Joining the Operational Excellence team is major opportunity for personal development. At the end of a day, we plan not only to see a step change in performance and health in our site, but also to have a group of experienced leaders who will have a much broader perspective that will enable them to be strong managers in our site. The local OPEX team members will receive advanced training on Lean, change management and leadership skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team that will help lead the change at the site
  • Site responsibility for OPEX transformation and embedding global standards
  • Stakeholder management and coaching
  • Develop site rollout plan post involvement of Global Operational Excellence
  • Bring structure and knowledge of methodology to guarantee rigor
  • Help site management with the setting of ambitious targets
  • Provide deep lean expertise
  • Coach, train and facilitate line management and change agents
  • Ensuring local project follow up, regular feedback to Global Operational Excellence, rising the flags, proposing the project plan changes
  • Implementing the Operating System KPIs and reporting the progress of the site implementation

Who We Are Looking For

Do you have?

  • Extensive experience working as team leader in a Lean environment, preferably in TEVA Manufacturing or another pharmaceutical company
  • Project management experience and excellent time managements skills, Lean expert
  • A relevant university degree (technical, pharmaceutical, chemical)
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • High energy and enthusiasm to lead changes


Are you?

  • Detail oriented analytical and have strong Problem Solving skills
  • Confident challenging all personnel to perform at level that is higher than comfortable
  • Able to teach, guide and mentor others and demonstrate leadership ability at different levels
  • A confident communicator (verbal and written) and have excellent knowledge in MS Officer
