Main activities and responsibilities


Major duties and responsibilities:


  • Ensures the updating and revision of company EHS management systems (site procedures), in line with company directives and sector legislation.
  • Supports the EHS Manager in the management of internal and external audit activities.
  • Promotes the culture of respecting safety within the site, through training activities on company procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Engineering and Maintenance departments for the implementation of new projects, making sure that the obligations relating to health and safety are adequately respected.
  • Participates in the investigation of accidents / near misses and analyzes accident / near miss statistics, identifying trends and proposing improvement plans.
  • Management of contractors qualification through the drafting of security documents (DUVRI)
  • Attend HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
  • Management of industrial waste disposal in accordance with the Dgls. 152/2006.
  • Evaluate change controls for the purposes of EHS approval.

Assess and mitigate risks:

In collaboration with the HSE Manager, it identifies the risks associated with the various tasks, updates the DVR and creates a plan of actions and risk mitigations.


Manages and coordinates the Security System:


  • Ensures, through audits, adequate control with regard to safety and health in the workplace.
  • Identify and resolve non-conformities.
  • Manages relations with external and internal control bodies.
  • Check compliance with regulations and the application of procedures / measures relating to Safety.

It manages and coordinates the Environment System:


  • Verifies the correct application of the relevant legislation.
  • Keeps the environmental management system updated.
  • Identifies and analyzes corporate environmental issues.
  • Evaluates the impact of the production process on the environment.
  • Identifies improvement objectives and technological and organizational solutions functional to the prescribed and eco-compatible adjustments.
  • Schedule and oversee compliance activities.
  • Prepares documentation for environmental authorizations.
  • Manages relations with Certification Bodies and Control Bodies.



Essential requirements:

• Ensure compliance with company requirements regarding the environment, health and safety and legal obligations.
• Respect for the code of ethics and corporate values



  • Preferable Degree in engineering or related sciences or have a qualification not lower than the diploma. 
  • Be in possession of the certificate of attendance of specific training courses for RSPP, specifically: Module A; Module B relating to the ATECO code and Module C.
  • Perform a five-year training update for RSPP equal to 40 hours.



  • Fluent english
  • Local language




Minimum: 3 years of working experience health, safety in chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
