Your mission
Are you ready to lead and transform a dynamic team within the direct procurement organization? As the Direct Procurement Cluster Lead, you will actively manage and oversee the Italian and Mexican clusters, driving year-over-year savings and ensuring the reliable supply of direct goods within the TAPI cluster.
In this pivotal role, you will guide your team to implement regional category strategies that align with TAPI's corporate strategy and financial goals. Your mission will be to secure a stable and cost-effective supply chain that meets both current and future business needs.

How you’ll spend your day
• Single Point of Contact: Serve as the primary liaison to the VP Procurement and Head of Direct for all direct procurement activities across all sites in the defined cluster.
• Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor the direct procurement team within the cluster, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Develop and Implement Procurement Strategies: Create and execute cluster-specific direct procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives across the specified regions.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Manage risks associated with supply contracts and agreements.
• Global and Regional Initiatives: Ensure the implementation of global and regional procurement initiatives.
• Category Consolidation: Identify opportunities to consolidate locally managed direct procurement categories at the country-wide level, in alignment with the Global Procurement Policy and Global Procurement Category Management.
• Budget and Savings Planning: Support the Head of Global Direct Procurement in defining the budget and savings AOP Plan.
• Savings Targets Achievement: Ensure the achievement of savings targets for the category/site.
• Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their direct procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage, engage, and influence key stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of direct procurement processes.
• Operational Efficiency: Oversee the direct procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management, to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaboration with Direct Category Lead: Maintain close collaboration with the Direct Category Lead and align with their guidance.
Who We’re Looking For
• At least 10 years’ experience in Direct Procurement: Pharma Procurement/API, Fine Chemicals/Intermediates Manufacturing.
• Your educational background includes Master's degree in natural sciences, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology or equivalent is mandatory. In addition, MBA is an advantage.
• Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal, cross-functional teamwork, and communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Autonomous professional capable of making decisions and resolving issues promptly.
• Ability to draw strategic insights from analysis and effectively summarize and present insights.
• Team Management experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in Italian language.
