The Opportunity:
The Head of US Supply Chain is accountable for leading a high-performing end-to-end Supply Chain function across the US region. This leader will drive excellence in people management, performance, data analytics capabilities and supply chain capabilities to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant product availability, aligned with business objectives. This role acts as a strategic partner to the regional commercial and global supply chain leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsible to ensures that Teva’s SC remains competitive and resilient by monitoring performance, implementing best practices, leveraging data-driven insights, ensuring its continuous improvement / transformation and fostering a culture of innovation. A member of the US Commercial Leadership team as well as a functional member of the Global SC Leadership team, the incumbent will ensure a robust implementation of GSC processes within the regional organization to optimally serve the customers, focused on Forecasting, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, and Launch Preparation. Closely collaborates with the Manufacturing and other functions (Regulatory, Quality, Procurement etc) to ensure that we meet our Service Level Targets at an optimized cost.
This position requires a candidate to be commutable to either Parsippany, NJ or North Wales, PA (2 days per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the regional Supply Chain Organization, ensuring business continuity and uninterrupted, efficient product supply.
- Responsible for all Key Supply Chain Processes within the regional Supply Chain, i.e. Forecasting, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Launch Co-ordination, Logistics and Customer Service
- Supports the Global Supply Chain Management and the regional Management team in developing & implementing the Supply Chain Strategy and continuously improving Supply Chain best practices
- Responsible for enhancing / improving the Sales and Operations Planning processes within the regional network through close collaboration with Operations and Commercial and Finance, ensuring that Demand/ Supply imbalances, are properly addressed and resolved, in the best interests of Teva.
- Responsible for ensuring that the inventory is being managed within the agreed inventory policies (Safety Stocks, Min/Max levels), with focus on exceptions. Ensure that Action plans are implemented and tracked to reduce inventory write-off’s, and stock-outs.
- Ensure the communication links between the customers and Supply Chain work effectively to drive improvement in customer service levels.
- Responsible for the regional warehousing and logistics, ensuring close coordination with global logistics on the inbound freight and customs, and responsible for outbound logistics.
- Responsible for EHS in our warehouses and distribution centers, for trade compliance in logistics in the local markets and responsible to manage the operations of 3PL.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing global supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, & employee engagement
Your Experience & Qualifications:
- 12+ yrs experience in end-to-end supply chain leadership
- Track record in strategic supply chain transformation, talent leadership and global/regional operations
- BA/MA in SC, Business Admin., or related field
- Preferred: certifications such as APICS, CSCP, CPSM
- Experience working in a large, complex matrixed environment with global processes & governance structures; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in balancing service, cost, and capital in performance-driven environments.
- Expertise in emerging technologies & innovative approaches in pharma SC
