How you’ll spend your day

⦁    Lead the Sanctions Compliance Program
⦁    Oversee Sanctions Screening function
⦁    Develop and implement Sanctions Training for general and high-risk audiences
⦁    Develop and maintain Sanctions Policy and Guidance  
⦁    Lead and participate in Sanctions risk assessments 
⦁    Sanctions Business Partner to Legal, Supply Chain, IT, GIA and other corporate functions
⦁    Lead the Cross Functional Sanctions team, facilitating bi-weekly meetings and related efforts that identify Sanctions challenges and drive remediation
⦁    Prepare updates regarding Sanctions Compliance Program to key internal and external audiences
⦁    Provide strategic guidance to senior management on trade Sanctions issues and their implications for business strategy
⦁    Monitor and analyze global trade regulations (e.g. OFAC sanctions) to assess their impact on business operations
⦁    Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on trade sanctions matters
⦁    Expand/Modify the programs to meet new Sanctions requirements and to respond to geo-political developments with Sanctions implications
⦁    Other projects and duties as required/assigned

Your experience and qualifications

⦁    A Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) is required. Advanced degree (Masters’ Degree or Juris Doctorate) is preferred
⦁    15+ years’ experience, preferably in healthcare environment and the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 5 years in compliance/risk related role
⦁    5+ years supervisory or people leadership experience 
⦁    Significant experience with international Sanctions compliance programs
⦁    Experience with Sanctions screening, IT platforms that support screening and database providers of Sanctions information 
⦁    Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability in participating and leading cross-functional teams, excellent skills in leading without authority and managing through influence
⦁    Strong project management skills and the ability to take on large projects involving multiple stakeholders
⦁    Ability to successfully partner with multiple business units and influence others at all levels of the organization  
⦁    Strong written/verbal communication skills -- ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations, training materials and policy/guidance documents
⦁    Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of teamwork in a matrix environment
⦁    Ability to think strategically and tackle complex problems, multi-task and work independently 
⦁    Ability to influence and impact without direct authority and develop strategic partnerships across functions
⦁    Strong executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
⦁    Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and ability to identify trends/patterns
⦁    Ability to identify, advise on, minimize business risks, and propose practical solutions
⦁    Strong customer-orientation and servant leadership orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others
⦁    Ability to work successfully and cooperatively with colleagues across multiple cultures and time-zones

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Business travel will be required for some projects (approximately 15%)
 

We are seeking candidates who can work from our Parsippany, NJ or West Chester, PA offices. Also considering candidates out of Zagreb, Croatia.
