The opportunity
The Sr. Finance Manager will lead and support finance activities including (but not limited too) budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and achievement of performance targets for Market Access and Government Affairs. The position will support the full P&L and requires a strong business partnership and a robust forecasting process.
The incumbent will report, analyze and recommend actions to improve performance, processes and systems. The individual needs to drive the analysis and decision-making support for operational planning and top management, key projects and metrics tied to strategies.
How you’ll spend your day
Some essential functions include:
• Collaborate closely with division owners to develop Long Range Plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecast and provide guidance and support related to headcount and cost of labor.
• Work with HR in preparing reporting on FTEs to create transparency to senior leadership.
• Lead SAC headcount and cost of labor planning rollout for NA.
• Prepare financial analysis and reporting that will support different projects, along with supporting stakeholders through the decision making processes
• Provide direct support and business partnering to senior leaders, including the analysis of the operations financial performance, and develop strategic recommendations.
• Provide hands on financial support for consolidation team in close, reporting, and forecasting processes for expenses and other analytics.
• Run monthly actual expense reports and liaison with accounting for quarter closing.
• Answer ad-hoc support to the FP&A consolidation team as needed.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A Masters of Business Administration degree
• Experience with SAP, SAC Analytics and Planning, and Hyperion.
• Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Prior experience complex global matrix corporate environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and inter-cultural competence.
• Strong Interpersonal and people skills, in particular the ability to build relationships and influence others.
