The Senior Manager, Speaker Bureau Planning role is responsible for supporting the management and execution of all speaker bureau activities that support Teva Innovative Medicines (IM) in delivering their strategic priorities. The position will partner with Brand Team members across the portfolio to manage speaker bureau activities. This position will also work collaboratively with key functional areas across Teva including Compliance, Legal, Sales Leadership, and other Teva Teams to plan and execute successful speaker bureau activities. This position includes responsibilities in Speaker bureau management, speaker nomination, training planning, and associated compliance-related activities. Key activities led by this position include advancing the function and efficiencies of professional education with the implementation of policies and procedures, while providing direction and support on budgeting, planning, and execution along with the reconciliation of expenses for all events associated Teva’s speaker bureaus across the IM portfolio.
Location: This is a field-based/remote position that can sit anywhere in the United States.
How You’ll Spend Your Day

- Under the direction of Director of KOL Strategy & Congress Planning, work to build and lead governance processes focused on driving efficiency and appropriate variability in Speaker usage across the entire IM product portfolio.
- Under the direction of Director of KOL Strategy & Congress Planning, collaborate in the management of IM-wide speaker identification, nomination, training, and compliance activities in partnership with vendors and Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) organization.
- Work with Brand Medical Education teams to coordinate brand led Speaker activities (product theaters, society speaker meetings, national webcasts).
- Under the direction of Director of KOL Strategy & Congress Planning, partner with agency vendors to implement tactical plans for speaker related initiatives including speaker bureau management, speaker training and content development meetings.
- Collaborate to ensure all IM-wide strategies support individual brand needs.
- Manage specific budgets to achieve defined key performance metrics in collaboration with brand teams and other Teva logistics teams.
- Deliver and support strategic alignment for all cross-functional execution of professional education activities and events, and budget management including vendor relationships
- Engage with members of the business units and functional teams to deliver a high standard of excellence by ensuring consistent, appropriate brand presence, efficiency and harmonies across all professional education activities.
- Work directly with iQvia (speaker programs & management agency) to ensure seamless execution of professional education events.
- Manage appropriate PARC and EngageMate submissions needed to support speaker bureau related activities.
- Monitor and evaluate performance and impact in order to implement and communicate improved actions.
Your Skills and Experience
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 7 years pharmaceutical experience in commercial roles, i.e. Sales, Training, Marketing, Analytics, Patient Services or equivalent required
- Demonstrated success in working effectively in complex cross-matrix projects teams
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi department budgets, PO processes and Vendor management
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Resourceful, decisive and proactive; must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing environment
- Sound judgment, high integrity with ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Demonstrated strong organizational, project management and communication skills
- Successful working with cross functional teams
- Strong understanding and adherence of compliance rules in the pharmaceutical industry
- Motivated and results driven with a curiosity about innovative thinking and developing efficient solutions
- Strong project management experience and the ability to manage and coordinate projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors on time
- Excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal skills required.
- Versed in MS Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 30 - 40% domestic travel throughout the US. Ability to travel to attend meetings at both Teva offices and off-site locations through the US and periodically internationally as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Use a computer (including participating in face to face video calls/meetings camera)
- Sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Travel as required, which may include travel by car, train, or plane
- Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Occasional bending and/or twisting
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
Salary Range
The annual starting salary for this position is between $145,000 - $170,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
