The Senior Director, IT – Global Commercial Digital Services is a senior technology leader responsible for strategy, delivery, and continuous evolution of global Commercial Digital platforms in a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This role owns CRM, Multichannel Marketing (MCM), and Omnichannel Customer Management (OCM) capabilities that enable compliant, personalized, and insight-driven engagement with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs), Key Account Manager (KAMs) and other key stakeholders.
This role requires deep experience in pharma commercial IT, strong global delivery leadership, and vision to drive Next-Generation CRM and omnichannel capabilities while ensuring compliance with GxP, data privacy, and promotional regulations.
Location: This is a hybrid role (3 days/week onsite) based in our Parsippany, NJ office.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Global Commercial Platform Leadership (Pharma-Focused)
- Own the end-to-end strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of global Commercial Digital platforms, including:
- CRM (Veeva CRM preferred; Salesforce / Vault CRM as applicable)
- Multichannel Marketing (Approved Email, Web, Campaign Management)
- Omnichannel Customer Management & Orchestration
- Integration with Veeva Vault (PromoMats, MedComms) and content ecosystems
- Drive global standardization and reuse while enabling compliant regional and affiliate flexibility.
- Ensure platforms support sales, marketing, and hybrid engagement models across markets.
- Own the end-to-end strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of global Commercial Digital platforms, including:
- Next-Generation CRM & Omnichannel Capabilities
- Lead transformation toward Next-Gen Pharma CRM, including:
- AI-enabled next-best-action and recommendations
- Personalization at scale within regulatory constraints
- Seamless orchestration across field, digital, and non-personal channels
- Enable closed-loop marketing, consent-driven engagement, and HCP journey optimization.
- Partner with Data, Analytics, and AI teams to activate insights within CRM and MCM workflows.
- Evaluate and onboard emerging capabilities aligned to pharma commercial innovation.
- Lead transformation toward Next-Gen Pharma CRM, including:
- Global Delivery, Teams & Partners
- Lead and develop large, global IT delivery teams across onshore, offshore, and near-shore models.
- Manage a high-performance, product-oriented organization with strong talent and leadership bench.
- Govern strategic vendors and system integrators (e.g., Veeva partners), ensuring quality, compliance, and value realization.
- Establish delivery rigor using Agile, DevSecOps, and validated system practices.
- Business Partnership & Executive Engagement
- Serve as a trusted IT partner to Global Commercial, Marketing, Digital, and Analytics leaders.
- Shape technology strategy aligned to:
- Brand growth objectives
- Field force effectiveness
- Digital and omnichannel engagement strategies
- Communicate clearly with senior executives on roadmaps, risks, compliance posture, and business value.
- Influence prioritization and investment decisions across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Compliance, Quality & Regulatory Excellence
- Ensure all platforms meet GxP, validation, data privacy, consent, and security requirements.
- Partner with Quality, Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams to embed controls by design.
- Ensure adherence to promotional regulations and audit readiness across markets.
- Lead operational excellence focused on stability, performance, and user adoption.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
- Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with significant leadership experience in Pharma Commercial IT
- Proven hands-on leadership delivering:
- Global CRM platforms (Veeva /Salesforce CRM strongly preferred)
- Multichannel / Omnichannel marketing solutions
- Strong understanding of:
- Pharma commercial operations (Sales, Marketing, Digital)
- Promotional review and content workflows
- Consent, data privacy, and regulatory constraints
- Demonstrated success managing global teams and complex vendor ecosystems
- Experience delivering large-scale, business-critical programs in a regulated environment

Salary Range
The annual starting salary for this position is between $190,080 - $237,600 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
