The opportunity
Consumer Brand Marketing is the voice of our patients and caregivers and ensures that we strategically build and grow successful consumer relationships. The Senior Manager is responsible for the evaluation of market conditions, identification of issues and opportunities within the therapeutic category to develop campaigns, which target Patients and Caregivers aligned with the overarching brand strategies and objectives. The Senior Manager will work with internal and external partners to create strategic and operational plans to enable effective and efficient operations of the consumer engagement channels, increasing schizophrenia disease awareness and driving Consumer and Caregiver preference for the brand.
How you’ll spend your day
- Lead and execute segments of brand promotion on Consumer tactics to drive brand/portfolio performance.
- Own creative messaging, field materials, and measurement for marketing activities.
- Help manage communication channel activities including personal and non-personal promotion (NPP) for activities.
- Lead partnerships with advocacy groups related to schizophrenia and mental health.
- Partner with the patient services team to manage and develop tactics and promotional materials.
- Develop, execute, measure and optimize tactics aligned with predefined strategies and establish timelines and budgets with minimal oversight.
- Work with agency partners to create, develop, execute, and measure tactical plans and provide input on strategy and direction of the brand.
- Partner with market research to provide insights for planning, messaging and tactics.
- Manage the promotional approval process of materials.
- Analyze market data and information and makes informed decisions.
- Align organizationally and individually with internal and external codes of conduct.
Your experience and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical consumer marketing experience or equivalent is required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge and therapeutic area business acumen.
- Experience and understanding of all media and non personal promotion components that support the building of a diverse consumer branded and unbranded promotional plan
- Patient and / or caregiver journey mapping to strategy and tactical plan development
- Able to draw insights from variety of sources, understands market and competition. Compiles relevant data from appropriate sources and performs analysis for the department. Synthesizes complex and diverse information, recognizes trends and/or interrelationship.
- Ability to meet objectives and deadlines, promote efficiency and effectiveness, and incorporate improvements and program return on investment (ROI).
- Project management experience and the ability to manage and coordinated projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal skills required.
- Versed in MS Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 25% domestic travel throughout the US and Canada.
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $125,000 – 164,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
