The opportunity
The Senior Manager Commercial Training will be responsible for overseeing the operational function of Teva’s Schizophrenia training for sales employees. This individual will be part of a key launch upcoming for Teva.
Responsibilities around the launch will include:
Coordinate Launch Readiness Activities by Leading or support initiatives like POA meetings, workshops, and certification programs to ensure field force preparedness for launching medication. Will also lead the ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of programs and initiatives that enhance and leverage psychiatry knowledge throughout both sales teams. Partnering with sales and marketing leadership, this individual will identify needs and/or development opportunities and address them with learning solutions that enhance the personal and professional effectiveness of the sales force and sales management. This individual will also align with sales and marketing leadership in planning to launch solutions at optimal times and in overseeing the use of strategic communications to ensure maximum “uptake” of programs. Programs may include those for new hire training, existing sales force, POAs, and mass model activities to ensure consistency.

Partner with marketing, sales, training, medical, regulatory, legal leadership to assess design and deliver training solutions to meet the objectives identified.
- Execute blended training programs at new hire training, national meetings, regional meetings, and other events.
- Coach, teach and train sales associates during training events. Assist field managers in ongoing development of their representatives by providing written and verbal feedback.
- Evaluate classroom curriculum and work with training leadership to keep training current and relevant for the field.
- Stay current with training trends by attending professional meetings and trainer development events.
- Suggest solutions that align with the strategic priorities of the overall organization.
- Understand the regulatory environment for each branded solution and follow proper approval processes.
- Exemplify excellent vendor management skills for optimal and on-time, on-target solutions.
- Leverage emerging training innovations when appropriate to ensure optimal outcomes.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical experience in one or more of the following areas: sales, marketing, sales leadership or training/development
- 4+ years home office therapeutic training experience of field experience strongly preferred
- Experience in Psychiatry and / or Neurology preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Intimate knowledge of the relationship between sales, sales leadership, marketing, and training
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to move quickly in a dynamic environment
- Ability to develop and execute strategic training and development plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated group facilitation and classroom presentation skills
- Ability to perform in high pressure and fast-paced environments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Approximately 20% domestic travel throughout the US.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Occasional:
- Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or mobile equipment.
Visual Acuity:
- Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
