As the Product Operations Leader (POL), Innovative Portfolio, you are responsible for the end-to-end operational leadership and execution of Teva’s innovative medicines portfolio. You will ensure reliable supply, commercial success, and lifecycle value maximization for innovative assets by bridging R&D, Commercial, and Operations functions. You will lead cross-functional teams from development through commercialization and lifecycle management, translating product strategy into operational execution and representing Operations/CMC on the global product team. As a key driver of Teva’s “Pivot to Growth” strategy, you will be accountable for operational excellence, supply continuity, and the successful launch and lifecycle management of innovative products.
This role has a specific focus on the 3 to 10-year lifecycle phase of innovative products, ensuring sustained value, supply, and performance during this critical period. You will be actively involved in the pre-launch and launch phases 0-3 years, partnering closely with R&D, Commercial, and Launch Management to ensure seamless transition from development to commercialization and to set the foundation for long-term success.
How you’ll spend your day
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead cross-functional Operations/CMC teams for assigned innovative products throughout their lifecycle (from pre-clinical through commercial stages).
- Develop and execute product supply and lifecycle strategies, ensuring alignment with global product strategy and commercial objectives for innovative assets.
- Serve as the primary Operations/CMC representative on the global product team, partnering with Commercial, R&D, Medical, Regulatory, and Supply Chain leaders.
- Bridge R&D, Commercial, and Operations functions to ensure seamless product development, launch, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with Launch Management to ensure successful and timely launches of innovative products, providing operational leadership and alignment across functions.
- Provide operational leadership and oversight during the pre-launch and launch phases, ensuring readiness for commercial supply and market entry.
- Drive sustained value, supply continuity, and performance during the 3 to 10-year lifecycle phase, proactively managing risks, opportunities, and lifecycle extensions.
- Translate product strategy into actionable operational plans, including supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and technical risk management, with a focus on innovative product requirements.
- Oversee product governance within Operations, ensuring prioritization and resource allocation across the innovative portfolio.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Represent Operations/CMC in portfolio governance and external stakeholder interactions as needed.
- Support the implementation of Teva’s network strategy for innovative products, including dual sourcing, technology transfers, and site optimization.
- In conjunction with MTS manages and periodically reviews process performance ( including analytical) to ensure robustness and zero fail supply
- Coordinate cross-functional launch teams to resolve operational issues, manage timelines, and ensure seamless execution.
- Develops and manages product COGS profile and defines opportunities to reduce and manage product cost profile
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Advanced degree (BS/MS/PhD) is required. A concentration in life sciences, engineering, or business is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with significant leadership in product management, supply chain, or technical operations for innovative medicines.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex product lifecycles.
- Requires a deep understanding of commercial markets, regulatory requirements, and technical operations for innovative assets.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Experience with global product launches, lifecycle management, and risk mitigation for innovative products.
- Ability to travel internationally (approx. 20%).
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $235,000 – 309,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
