Job Description
The Parsippany Headquarters Director, Human Resources role will lead the HR support for our US Headquarters employees which span across multiple businesses and functions. This position will be based at our US Corporate headquarters in Parsippany, NJ reporting to the Sr. Director HR for all US Sites and will oversee a team of two HR managers. This experienced HR professional will be responsible for leading day to day HR aspects of the HQ site effectively supporting recruitment, employee relations, talent development, performance management and coaching, and employee engagement initiatives within a matrixed, global organization. In addition, the incumbent will have an important influential role in establishing an invigorating, inclusive and winning culture at our HQ campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes partnerships across the HR function (with multiple Global HRBPs, Centers of Excellence and HR Operations) to deliver value added service to leadership and employees.
- Leads talent strategies to achieve business objectives, while creating a strong culture of engagement and collaboration across all groups within our Corporate HQ.
- Works closely with leadership and employees to improve on-boarding, engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness towards support of increased business performance; shares accountability within HR for our “hire to retire” employees experience life cycle (Recruiting, L&D, Total Rewards, I&D, Wellbeing).
- Manages two direct reports and provides guidance/coaching to effectively support the Parsippany HQ site.
- Guides recruitment activities for the assigned organizations in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team while taking proactive steps to ensure there is a robust talent pool. Collaborates with Talent Acquisition colleagues accordingly.
- In partnership with Talent Management & Employee Relations, manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations as appropriate. In partnership with leaders, develops Performance Improvement Plans for employees as needed.
- May serve as a project leader for HR and/or business-driven initiatives (i.e. organizational structure changes, cultural change, employee rewards, organizational effectiveness, etc.).
- Provides employees and management with coaching and counseling, ensuring objectivity and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR Management or related field
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources generalist experience in a global organization
- Experience in managing direct reports preferred
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook); advanced Excel skills and strong statistical and strong analytical skills preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a matrix, high performance work environment and team- oriented culture
- Strong track record of results achieved through collaboration, influence skills, and organizational and change management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
