The opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Corporate Affairs team as a Newsroom Support Specialist dedicated to External Communications. This role will provide critical support in managing external communications, media engagement, and thought leadership initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, media relations, and building brand reputation.
How you’ll spend your day
- Media Relations & Monitoring: Maintain and update media contact lists; assist with press outreach. Conduct research, track and analyze media coverage.
- Thought Leadership Support: Coordinate development of articles, op-eds, and social media content. Support external speaking engagements and event participation.
- Newsroom support: Support Global newsroom to drive proactive storytelling and amplification across channels; Assist in developing media kits and briefing materials; Manage newsroom assets and maintain editorial calendars for external communications.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field is required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years in media relations, journalism or communications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management capability.
- Exceptional writing skills for varied formats and platforms.
- Familiarity working in a highly regulated industry is preferred.
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $93,000 – 122,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
