Job Description

Manager, Commercial Data Operations, will be responsible for facilitating data request management/fulfillment, data investigations, and provides analytical support of the operational aspects of the Commercial Data Warehouse. The role provides technical data analysis by directly accessing the data warehouse tables and schemas for data investigations, evaluating and implementing new data sources, and maintaining the daily operations of the data warehouse with high quality data in support of evolving business requirements. This role collaborates with Sales Operations teams (such as Sales Planners, Incentive Compensation, Field Reporting, Veeva Field Technology, Master Data), Managed Services (operational support), Sales and Marketing teams, and the IT Business Analysts in developing business requirements, providing the relevant data with appropriate analysis in support of the commercial Sales and Marketing organization. Also providing relevant business documentation to the operational support team for daily data warehouse change management and associated projects. Investigates data sources for utility and effectiveness in collaboration with IT Business Analyst. Works on high revenue brands projects as well as support new product launch in collaboration with other functional teams.



  • Maintain the Commercial Data Warehouse, and provide business analysis and requirement gathering for changes and enhancements to the CDW Manage and maintain the Product Model/market basket
  • Work with multiple teams, analyze data and suggest business solution
  • Generate business requirement specs to onboard data sources
  • Act as a liaison between IT, Sales Ops, data vendors to satisfy business requirements
  • Perform data analysis based on user questions and issues, scopes effort, and provide root cause analysis
  • Answer data clarification questions for self-serve users (explain sources of data, context or meaning of content, best source for purpose, etc.)
  • Work with Sales Planners (Sales Ops) to support any field inquiry
  • Maintain ticket tracking for questions as well as pass through ticket entry for operations
  • Serve as a knowledge resource for Operations Team and Commercial Operations
  • Participate in the planning, development and testing of key features of the data warehouse
  • Assist in testing, such as unit testing, regression testing, and UAT testing
  • Resolve technical project issues and escalate issues as necessary
  • Provide knowledge/insight to project teams during planning and development stages
  • Provide technical knowledge and support to operational support team
  • Investigate data issues related to data errors
  • Identify requirements for new or changed data quality and cleansing business rules
  • Validate data provider files 
  • Enforce Data Governance 
  • Facilitate implementation of governance structure across business functions to ensure data integrity and quality
  • Provide triage or prioritization review for business priority, and supply input to ticket priority/urgency 
  • Understand operational calendar and business cadence in relation to new activities
  • Manage the TPA process and ensures stakeholders follow Teva's legal, compliance and privacy guidelines


Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. 


  • Minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical industry experience in one or more of the following areas: business analysis, data analysis or sales analytics with experience in Sales Operations, Sales Administration, Sales Planning 
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience using analytical tools like SQL, SAS, VBA 
  • Experience and working knowledge of pharmaceutical datasets like IQVIA subnational data, IQVIA patient data, Veeva CRM activity data
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, business-related area or equivalent required
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business needs from a data perspective
  • Demonstrated accountability and commitment to business deliverables
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities, excellent team player
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating and collaborating effectively with internal and external partners
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Great organizational skills and flexibility to perform under multiple deadlines
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 



  • Approximately 5-10% domestic travel throughout US




  • Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment

Visual Acuity:

  • Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading


May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)
