Job Description

Analyst I, Alliance & Revenue Accounting

The analyst supporting Alliance Accounting is responsible for managing Canadian alliance partnerships (needs of internal / external business partners) and royalty income agreements. The analyst will also review product specific business results and perform analysis to ensure accurate profit share reporting with partners and accrual of financial obligations.


  • Prepare and perform analyses to support the alliance and revenue accounting teams.  Identify trends, share insights and drive improvement / efficiency to the close process     
  • Analyze actual results against forecast / prior periods to understand performance and effectively communicate results with internal / external business partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal business partners to understand contractual obligations (and potential changes thereto), challenges with partners and other support activities.  
  • Validate inputs, calculations and profit share statements to ensure accurate financial results.
  • Analyze changes in business results (sales trends, adjustments to reserves, etc…) to support accurate financial close and inquiries from internal / external business partners.
  • Maintain relationships with external business partners to ensure accurate / timely reporting of royalty income obligations to Teva.  Develop forecasts for material inbound royalty streams to support business estimates due to FP&A quarterly.
  • Frequent communication with external business partners.  Facilitate third party reviews as requested by business partners.
  • Participation in financial close process including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, account variance analysis and other ad-hoc analysis.    
  • Follow Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned or as business needs require.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or related field required. CPA preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Training, skills, and experience) REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or auditing experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required. 
  • Excellent PC skills required, notably Excel.
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Must demonstrate analytical, problem solving and process focused skills. 
  • Must have attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task. 
  • Experience with Oracle and SAP desired.
