Job Description

 

The position is responsible for strategic leadership, management, and execution across customer channels, including but not limited to Specialty Pharmacy and Long Term Care, to drive brand conversion and adherence. In addition, this role will drive demand across all customer account channels through engagement with various Account teams.  Brand assignments and priorities will be set with Brand and Specialty Marketing leadership.

Brand Customer Channel Marketing includes the following: a) the development of brand channel strategy, tactical plan, execution & resource optimization b) successfully manage the day-to-day channel activities and results of brand, and c) serve as the channel planning lead in ensuring consistency of planning and operational effectiveness across all the customer channels. This position will work closely with the VP, US Payer Marketing Reimbursement Strategy and Sr Director US Institutional Sales for effective and efficient operations of engagement across channels as well as the utilization of marketing data and analytics to better inform strategic and tactical decisions.

 

Channel Orientation: Building relationships and engagement with channel customers. Provides channel engagement leadership through deep knowledge of distribution models, reimbursement, prescription flow, and prior authorization process. Develop and execute brand strategy in coordination with the Market Access and Specialty Pharmacy teams. Builds & manages cross-functional teams. Effectively engages executive level leadership to ensure buy-in on direction of brand/franchise. Utilizes networks to inform current and future direction of brand/franchise.


Strategic Vision: Creates and communicates clear vision and spots unidentified business opportunities for channel engagement. Works in conjunction with the Market Access, Specialty Pharmacy, and Financial Programs Leads on the development of brand channel components related to the LONG RANGE  PLAN/ANNUAL OPERATING PLAN. Utilizes market insights and analysis to identify key segments, business drivers, priorities and growth opportunities.


Excellence in Execution: Meets objectives and deadlines, promotes efficiency and effectiveness, and incorporates improvement and program ROI. Capable of negotiating difficult contract situations to an effective solution. Skilled at implementing strategies and tactics across multiple customer channels, groups and therapeutic areas. Leads teams to develop analytical measures utilized to measure program outcomes. Challenges team to utilize data to identify more efficient and effective ways to run project(s), grow brand or positively influence market conditions. Suggests and implements new ways to demonstrate and implement ROI analysis. Capable of detailed project planning and ability to develop key S&OP’s for process clarity across teams.

Qualifications

 

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

  • Education/Certification/Experience:
  • Education required: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Education preferred: Master’s degree.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 10 Years of pharmaceutical or relevant brand management experience, ≥ 5 years of pharmaceutical channel marketing experience. Must have channel marketing and specialty pharmacy experience on more than one brand and therapeutic area.
  • Experience Required: Understanding of the evolution of the customer channel landscape and implications for the business
  • Experience Required: Must be an expert on brand distribution models, prescription  process, Prior Approval Process, and Patient Financial Assistance programs to drive pull through across channels
  • Experience Preferred: Channel and brand management experience in Neurology and / or Psychiatry therapeutic area
  • Experience Preferred: GPO and LTC account management and/ or marketing experience
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Works to increase awareness of channel engagement capabilities, and collaborates across functions including executive leadership and senior marketing management, to drive adoption of Channel capabilities.
  • Close monitoring and analyses of policies pertaining to access and health economy area.
  • Works to maximize effectiveness of marketing spend.
  • Continually evaluates the trends, benchmarks, and differentiated channel engagement strategies and evaluates applicability to brand and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversees the identification, prioritization, and implementation of new innovative channel engagement platforms, and existing capability enhancements ensuring appropriate staffing and budget allocations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams across diverse settings including proactively expanding the information channels and coaching of peers on insights gathered through multiple channels
  • Lead the implementation of multi-channel marketing plans meant to promote the organization and its products or services
  • Team leadership and people management.
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Approximately 35-40% domestic travel (US).
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Occasional:
  • Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment.
  • Visual Acuity:
  • Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.
  • WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
