Job Description

Leads the general ledger accounting team to perform and support the activities and analysis for the Finance Group.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities                                                                    

  • Actively manage accurate and timely monthly and quarterly closes of Teva USA, Teva Canada and subsidiaries. Responsibilities include preparation of journal entries, preparation of working papers/schedules, review of all schedules, departmental analysis and internal consolidation.  Prior experience with intercompany reporting and reconciliations as well as FX transactions is strongly preferred.
  • Complete the monthly and quarterly consolidation and submission of the Teva USA and Canada reporting packages.  This will include completing all elimination entries and working to ensure all validation rules are complied 
  • with in order to complete the submission to HFM.
  • Supervise direct and indirect reports on the GL Accounting team.Assist with questions and issues in a timely manner, work with direct reports to create goals and assist in helping them achieve their goals.  Responsible for ongoing process improvements and ensuring the team is working efficiently.
  • Participate in providing effective service to customers of financial data. Serve as resource for financial information internally and with external auditors during quarterly audits; perform Ad Hoc requests of detailed financial information in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Investigate and resolve issues that arise within the GL team as well as    assist other stakeholders across the organization.  This position will work closely with other Teva sites across the world, as well as with Corporate accounting, therefore, strong communication skills are required.
  • Assist in conducting Fixed Asset counts at Teva USA and Canada sites.
  • Other duties as assigned or as business needs require.            


  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and related experience; CPA License preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years accounting and/or auditing experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with leading/supervising staff

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:

  • Word, Excel, Oracle, SAP, JDE 

Experience Preferred:

  • Public accounting experience highly preferred
