The opportunity

The Manager Commercial Excellence is an important individual contributor and supports the execution of commercial strategy, enhancing organizational alignment, and driving operational excellence.   Main areas of responsibility include the development and management of monthly US Innovative Medicines calendar and portfolio performance executive-level reporting. Additionally, will play a critical role in the development of reports and documents in support of quarterly external earnings presentations. This highly visible role will assist the Sr Dir Commercial Excellence with executing key commercial priorities in the organization across Marketing, Patient Services, Sales and Market Access.  The Manager Commercial Excellence role will gain exposure and experience across a variety of functional areas within the USIM organization as they lead projects and initiatives that drive organizational change.

 

The successful candidate must demonstrate internal drive with a desire to increase operational efficiencies through facilitating adoption of best practices across the organization.  Essential skills include (but are not limited to): extraordinary attention to detail, highly organized, comfort in fast paced environment with multiple priorities, effective collaboration with various levels of the organization, and ability to influence without authority.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Support the development and execution of executive-level report deliverables such as monthly CEO reports and materials in support of quarterly earnings.  Includes close collaboration with internal stakeholders, clear communication, and effective time management.
  • Publish USIM performance dashboard reporting
  • Assist the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives that will increase operational efficiency under the guidance of Senior Director Commercial Excellence
  • Assist with identifying and facilitating adoption of best practices across US Innovative Medicines commercial organization including documenting launch excellence initiatives 
  • Proactively identify improvements for current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor and report accomplishment of USIM goals/key initiatives and escalate issues
     

Your experience and qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in Marketing/Finance/Analytical or related Commercial roles
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Strong strategic thinker who can frame complex problems and articulate clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively to all levels throughout the organization.
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills required to reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly skilled at project management and focus on delivery of results.
  • Proven ability to motivate and collaborate cross-functional teams.
  • Highly skilled in MS Office including proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Track and prioritization of project(s) in an evolving environment, with attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
  • Coordination and leadership of matrix teams
  • Influence without authority


Travel Requirements: Approximately 20% domestic travel.
