The opportunity
The Manager, Human Resources will provide HR generalist support to Teva’s US Commercial business unit with a focus on our US Innovative Medicines (IM) field sales organization for designated territories. We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can effectively support recruitment, employee relations, exits and employee engagement initiatives within a matrix organization. This role is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, driving talent strategies, and fostering a high-performance culture across the sales function. This role will report to the US Commercial HRBP and will work closely with the HR Director responsible for supporting the overall IM Sales organization.
How you’ll spend your day
ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Following is a list of some but not all responsibilities and specific tasks that will be assigned to the person in this role:
- Establishes partnerships across the HR organization including Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to deliver value added service to management and employees.
- Works closely with management and employees to review, recommend and implement process improvements relative to onboarding, employee engagement, and retention to accelerate business performance.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to interview, attract and retain top sales talent.
- Addresses and resolves employee concerns or conflicts in a proactive and fair manner; partners with our Employee Relations COE for complex cases. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations as appropriate.
- In partnership with leaders, facilitates Performance Improvement Plans for employees with below standard performance.
- Support the annual performance review and merit planning processes. Collaborate with Total Rewards to ensure competitive pay structures for sales roles.
- May serve as a project leader or team member for HR and/or business-driven initiatives (i.e. organizational structure changes, cultural change, employee rewards, organizational effectiveness).
- Provides employees and management with coaching and counseling, ensuring objectivity and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues.
- Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws; Educate managers on HR policies and procedures.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of prior Human Resources generalist experience with demonstrated increasing responsibilities required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- Prior experience supporting a commercial or sales organization and/or experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
- Experience supporting large or complex organizations, with the ability to navigate matrixed structures and cross-functional teams preferred
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence others, including remote and field based employees
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills and strong analytical skills preferred
- Demonstrated experience in a matrix, fast paced, high performance and team- oriented environment
- Strong track record of results achieved through collaboration, influence skills, and change management skills
- Leverage HR analytics to identify trends in turnover, engagement, and performance; use dashboards and metrics to improve business outcomes.
- Prioritization and multi-tasking
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Approximately 15% domestic travel required

Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $96,000 – $121,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
