Job Description

Position Summary

You will be responsible for managing the direct material procurement aspects of launches and material change projects.   You will be the focal point for the manufacturing sites and external stakeholders as well as the regional and category procurement colleagues during the execution stage for both launches and Material Change projects.  You’ll provide procurement support to the sites and act as an escalation point to the region/category.  For Material Change projects, you will ensure right prioritization and project selection.  Key stakeholders and partners include Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Portfolio and New Product Strategy (NPS), Quality, and Regulatory. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch:  Execute launch strategy.  Ensure launch readiness at the site.  Manage and lead all necessary procurement activities for launch execution at Teva North America manufacturing sites.  Focal points to sites, category /regional procurement and external stakeholders
  • Participate in necessary launch meetings including New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings
  • Risk Evaluation and Mitigation:  Resolve direct material issues related to supply, quality and regulatory concerns during execution stage of launch
  • Material Change:  Provide procurement support to the North America sites in Material Change Process.  Ensure right prioritization and project selection. Focal point between the sites and category/region 
  • Work directly with sites and suppliers to attempt to resolve any issues during the course of the project.   Escalation point to the region/category 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain/Procurement/Engineering or related business discipline
  • MBA or relevant MS degree desirable

 

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a global environment
  • Minimum 5 years procurement experience, including direct procurement experience in a generic pharma environment, strategic sourcing, category management and supplier management experience
  • Experience leading change management initiatives both internally and externally leveraging strong communication and influence skills
  • Experience managing data and information to report KPI’s and update progress against program objectives leveraging strong analytical skills
  • Experience leveraging procurement best practices, policies and tools
  • Strong MS Office skills (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint)
