The opportunity
Embark on a future with an international pharmaceuticals company, contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 12-week experience. You will take part in impactful work and apply technical skills to solve practical problems that will help you grow both professionally and personally. Activities will focus on learning sterile commercial pharmaceutical processes, analyzing critical process data, and using data analytics to identifying opportunities for improvement, with direct experience in a manufacturing setting. Students will have the opportunity to interface with our other teams within Teva and external Contract Manufacturing Operations partners.
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Length: Minimum of 12 weeks (TBD during mid-May through mid-August)
Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 12 weeks
How you’ll spend your day
• During the 12 week program, you will gain in-depth insights into the External Manufacturing and Supply Operations Manufacturing Science & Technology (EMSO MS&T) department and daily technical operations.
• Supported by a mentor and experienced colleagues, you will be provided technical tasks and exposure to a products and projects in support of Teva’s daily business operations.
• Support tech transfer of commercial process to new facility, identify risks, and map out planned timelines for execution.
• Leverage technical principles and data analytic tools (i.e., statistical toolbox) to better understand commercial processes and QC methods and identify opportunities for further improvement.
Your experience and qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate program with a concentration in Engineering (Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial etc.), Pharmacy or related sciences.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills is required.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and must be a self-starter who works independently while contributing to the team goals.
• Leadership/participation with campus programs and/or community service activities is desired.
• Proficient in standard business software’s (MS Office, Excel, Outlook etc) is expected.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering principles such as thermodynamics, transport phenomena, data gathering, analysis and conclusion.
• Understand statistical methods. Experience in statistical tools such as Minitab/JMP is preferred.
