The opportunity
The Head of Global Support Function Communications is responsible for leading and executing strategic communications for Teva’s global support functions, including Finance, Human Resources, procurement and Legal with IT indirectly. This is a pivotal role in shaping Teva’s internal and external narrative, driving alignment across support functions and providing GSF overview. The position requires close collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align communications with business priorities and deliver impactful storytelling that reflects Teva’s values and strategic direction
How you’ll spend your day
- Develop and execute strategic positioning and communication programming for internal and external stakeholders to drive forward the company’s strategy and promote Teva’s purpose, support the business, strengthen Teva’s reputation, and build employee pride.
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans that support Teva’s global support functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, IT, and Legal, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and consistent messaging.
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to translate complex support function initiatives and priorities into clear, engaging communications for internal and external audiences.
- Lead communications efforts for Human Resources initiatives, including cascading key HR programs across the organization, enabling a cultural shift toward a high-performing organization, and supporting transitions and modernization efforts.
- Provide strategic counsel and support for executive communications, including speeches, presentations, and internal messaging, with close partnership with the Heads of Finance, HR, and IT to enhance visibility and influence.
- Build self-service kits for GCA around key areas related to GSF to secure design at core and implementation across the company.
- Collaborate with global and regional communications teams, including Global Corporate Affairs and Human Resources, to ensure consistency, transparency, and impact across all geographies and multimedia channels.
- Foster strong connections between senior leaders, employees, culture, and business performance through multimedia communications and engagement initiatives such as town halls and leader forums.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure proactive and responsive communications support.
- Ensure alignment with Teva’s overall corporate narrative and contribute to building a cohesive and compelling brand story across all support functions.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications strategies and engagement initiatives, and adjust plans based on feedback and performance metrics.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field is required. Master’s degree in communications, journalism or life sciences is preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of corporate communications experience and at least 5 years of relevant experience in the Pharma industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive experience in communications leadership roles with proven ability in executive communications, public relations and organizational communications.
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful communication strategies.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-changing and dynamic business environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in creating messaging and content for various communication channels using digital communication tools and platforms.
- International or domestic travel should be expected up to 10% of the time.
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $194,000 – 255,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
