Who we are
The opportunity
- Provide expert guidance on the design and development of robust databases to store ecological fate & effects data for pharmaceuticals and support its on-going use.
- Collaborate with those in Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability, Pre-clinical safety, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure accurate data integration of ecological fate and effects data.
- Develop AI-powered approach to collect and organize PFAS regulatory information and prepare for future analysis
- Clean, restructure and reorganize data in the explosivity database.
- For environmental sustainability:
- Promote and ensure the accurate and efficient collection of periodic data for reporting
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Develop and implement data structures and schemas to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Support E&S Data Management (collection, validation and reporting) and data architecture improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to database users.
- Interface with IT to effectively translate EHS&S’s data needs into action
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data analytics, database management and AI technologies associated with databases.
Your experience and qualifications
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.
• Masters degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Power Query, and data wrangling techniques
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), data cleaning, transformation, and validation, and also with ETL processes.
• Basic understanding of environmental and toxicology data is desirable
• Proven experience in database design, development, and management.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform, AI and programming languages like Python or R.
• Understanding of the importance and relevance of ecological and environmental data
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in searching and analyzing scientific literature
