Job Description

Newly created position within Teva’s marketing organization is responsible for leadership and execution of Teva’s Specialty Legacy Portfolio and non-traditional generic marketing activities as the lead for the current adenovirus asset/program.  Overseeing a complex product area, this position will work to build a talented cross-functional team to develop innovative marketing solutions, primarily using non-personal promotion, that appropriately differentiate Teva in this specialized space.

All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. 

•    Channel Orientation: Building relationships and engagement with channel customers. Provides channel engagement leadership through deep knowledge of vaccine distribution models, reimbursement, product flow (complex supply chain), and buy and bill processes. Develop and execute a newly envisioned brand strategy in coordination with the appropriate internal and/or external teams. Builds out capability and manages cross-functional teams. Effectively engages executive level leadership to ensure buy-in on direction of business area(s). Utilizes networks to inform current and future direction of business area(s). 
• Strategic Vision: Creates and communicates clear vision and spots unidentified business opportunities for potential expansion of existing channels. Works in conjunction with the cross-functional leads on the development of key business area components related to the yet created long range and/or annual operating plan(s).  Utilizes emerging and existing vaccine market insights and analysis to identify key segments, business drivers, priorities and growth opportunities as supported by asset capabilities.
• Excellence in Execution: Develops and meets/exceeds objectives and deadlines, promotes efficiency and effectiveness, and incorporates improvement and program ROI. Capable of negotiating difficult contract situations to an effective solution. Skilled at creating and implementing strategies and tactics across multiple external customer channels/groups.  Leads cross-functional teams to develop analytical measures utilized to measure program outcomes. Appropriately challenges team(s) to capture and/or utilize data to identify more efficient and effective ways to run program(s), grow business area or positively influence rapidly evolving vaccine market conditions. Suggests and implements new ways to demonstrate and implement ROI analysis. Capable of detailed project planning and ability to develop key S&OP’s for process clarity across teams.
• Change Leadership: Ability to spur innovation, out of the box thinking, inspiring others to embrace and execute ideas. Will be required to lead teams through extremely complex problems within defined policies. Will be responsible for negotiating difficult situations and creating cross-functional team culture that inspires and support innovative thinking and appropriate risk management/taking.
• Vaccine Business Acumen: Must take initiative beyond own area, drawing insights from variety of sources and understanding and explaining the overall vaccine marketplace. Will be required to review and digest various types of market research and insights, interpreting results and acting upon them rapidly.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:
• Education required: Bachelor’s degree
• Education preferred: Master’s degree
• Experience Required: Minimum of 10 Years of vaccine pharmaceutical and/or relevant brand management experience, ≥ 5 years of pharmaceutical launch marketing experience.
• Experience Required: Understanding of the evolution of the vaccine marketplace for the business
• Experience Required: Must be an expert on vaccine development related to commercialization
• Preferred Experience with more than one vaccine and/or therapeutic area
• Preferred Experience with a technical background (either collegiate and/or occupationally)
