Job Description

The Director, Commercial Compliance will be responsible for facilitating internal processes to ensure compliance with all statutory (state & federal) price reporting obligations, as well as other legal requests for information.  The role will be responsible for generating and collecting the necessary information, securing required internal approvals, facilitating submission of information to the relevant authorities, and tracking fulfillment of obligation.  Developing data sets and reporting to track statutory obligations, identifying reporting events, and tracking the information submitted will be key to ultimate success in the role. Initial focus will be on price transparency reporting, but role could expand into areas (e.g., other types of reporting) as well.  

Additionally, the role will be responsible for Failure to Supply (FTS) unit reconciliation in an effort to minimize FTS penalties owed by Teva to its customers.  This will include refining the current FTS review process by developing advanced IT tools for automating the reporting of FTS, and using artificial intelligence (AI) for penalty prediction based on supply and demand data.  Finally, the role will use new and existing tools and knowledge of overall Commercial processes to enhance SAP BI reporting for the organization.

Responsible for the generation of all Pricing and Customer Operations data necessary to ensure compliance with all statutory (state and federal) price reporting requirements and in support of legal requests for information.  Develop appropriate processes to collect information and facilitate appropriate internal approvals from VPs of Pricing Operations and/or Customer Operations prior to broader dissemination, as appropriate.
Establish mechanisms to consolidate the necessary information in a suitable format to communicate to the appropriate internal stakeholders for final submission or to complete the submissions directly.
Build database to track the various statutory requirements (current and future), identify reporting/transparency obligations in the course of ongoing business, and ensure full compliance with applicable regulations.
Create reporting mechanisms to more efficiently identify a reporting obligation, generate the required information to fulfill the obligation, and track the information submitted.
Own the FTS reconciliation process with customers to help prevent penalties and to achieve compliance with customer agreements. This includes coordination with other teams within Commercial as well as Finance to minimize deductions and overall financial impact to margin. Act as liaison with various internal audit groups, and perform relevant audit functions with respect to order management and pricing related issues.  
Commercial SME for SAP BI reporting, liaising with both IT and other leaders in the Commercial organization to ensure accurate SAP BI reporting, and enhance the processes.


  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.  Preferred concentration in Business, Science or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years analytical experience with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry required
  • Minimum 5 years in sales, marketing and/or finance in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Access proficiency
  • Data warehouse/Data repository knowledge  
  • SAP BI experience is strongly preferred
