Job Description

 

Teva has made a commitment to be a leader in biosimilars. The position is critical in helping to build Teva’s biosimilar franchise and preparing the market for one of the largest biosimilars pipelines in the industry. The position is responsible for the evaluation of market conditions, identification of issues and opportunities within the biosimilar category to develop campaigns which target Health Care Providers (HCPs), payers, specialty pharmacies (SPs), and other stakeholders. The Director Marketing US works with internal Teva colleagues, market access, trade and specialty pharmacy, sales coworkers and agency partners to prepare future biosimilar launches. The position leads marketing strategy and efforts for biosimilar pipeline assets, focusing on AVT-02, Teva’s biosimilar targeting HUMIRA®, in addition to supporting preparations for biosimilars targeting STELARA®, PROLIA®, XOLAIR® and 8 other brands.

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Leads and executes marketing strategy & tactical development for near-term biosimilar pipeline assets; plans for and develops multi-stakeholder promotional campaign and tactics including personal and non-personal promotion (NPP) to enable future brand/portfolio performance 
  • Collaborates with market access teams on payer strategy and pull through
  • Collaborates with trade teams on specialty pharmacy strategy with focus on interchangeability 
  • Works with agency partners to create, develop and implement tactical plans and drives strategy and direction of the future biosimilar launch assets   
  • Develops in collaboration with patient support team a patient and provider support platform for biosimilars
  • Develops patient education materials and device training
  • Develops sampling strategy for future biosimilar launches
  • Leads the promotional approval process of materials supported by Sr. Manager Marketing
  • Leads launch meeting planning as well as supports with sales training 
  • Leads management of Conventions, PR and Advocacy of future launches resulting in on time deliverables, within budget, and insights that can be acted on
  • Assists Director Biosimilars Brand Lead in go to market strategy development, long range planning and annual operating process (budget setting)
  • Supports market research to enable future launches in collaboration with insights team, analyzes market data and information and makes informed decisions 
  • Align organizationally and individually with internal and external codes of conduct
  • Collaborates and aligns with Teva’s global biosimilars team         

Qualifications

 

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. 

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical experience 
  • 7 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience or equivalent

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in auto immune therapeutic space, launch experience in pharmacy benefit, strong understanding of market access are a required to succeed in the role
  • Biosimilars background would be a plus
