Teva has made a commitment to be a leader in biosimilars. This position is critical in helping to build Teva’s biosimilar franchise and preparing the market for one of the largest biosimilars pipelines in the industry. This role is responsible for supporting successful near-term biosimilar launches in collaboration with the biosimilars team and cross-functional partners. The Director, Biosimilars Launch US works with internal Teva colleagues, market access, trade and specialty pharmacy, sales coworkers, and agency partners to prepare for future biosimilar launches. The incumbent will partner closely with the Senior Director to lead launch strategy and execution for biosimilar pipeline assets. 

Location: This is a hybrid position (3 days/week onsite) based in Parsippany, NJ.

How You’ll Spend Your Day

  • Partners with the Senior Director (Biosimilars Launch Pillar) to lead the development of integrated US launch strategies across multiple biosimilar pipeline assets, setting the strategic direction and ensuring alignment with Teva’s long‑range plan 
  • Serves as the commercialization lead driving cross‑functional governance, decision‑making, and alignment with cross-functional partners 
  • Shapes and enhances the U.S. biosimilar launch operating model, ensuring repeatability, process optimization, and best practice sharing across assets 
  • Leads development and execution of US Biosimilars launch readiness frameworks, KPIs, and operating mechanisms 
  • Co-leads launch meeting planning with other internal partners  
  • Collaborates with market access teams on payer strategy and pull through 
  • Collaborates with trade teams on distribution and specialty pharmacy strategy   
  • Works with both internal and external partners to create, develop and drive strategy and direction of the future biosimilar launch assets    
  • Assists in go-to-market strategy development, long range planning and annual operating process (budget setting) 
  • Supports market research to enable future launches in collaboration with insights team, analyzes market data and information and makes informed decisions  
  • Aligns organizationally and individually with internal and external codes of conduct 
  • Collaborates and aligns with Teva’s global biosimilars team 

       

Your Skills and Experience

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.  

 

Education/Certification/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred 
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical experience  
  • Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience or equivalent 

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Launch experience in multiple therapeutic spaces; oncology, auto immune, etc 
  • Strong understanding of market access with a proficiency in both pharmacy and medical benefit are required to succeed in the role 
  • Biosimilars background would be a plus

  • Project management experience and the ability to manage and coordinated projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors 
  • Excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal skills required 
  • Versed in MS Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook 

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Approximately 30% domestic travel throughout the US. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  

Occasional: 

  • Sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment. 

Visual Acuity: 

  • Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading. 

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT 

  • The majority of work will be conducted in the Home Office environment.  
  • Travel is required to engage with customers, attend medical congress and other business related meetings. 
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.). 

Salary Range

The annual starting salary for this position is between $173,920 – $217,400 annually.  Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
