Our Team, Your Impact

The Director, Marketing –Launch Lead is responsible for all marketing activities related to the product launch of an investigational CNS (Movement Disorder / Tourette Syndrome / Bipolar / Schizophrenia) treatment. This individual will report to the Sr. Director, Marketing- Portfolio Leader, and will lead and manage the commercial launch team, providing strategic direction and oversight for all launch activities, ensuring a world-class launch of this critical product for patients.  The role leads all cross-functional workstreams for the launch.  Additionally, planning and setting strategy for health care provider (HCP) promotion, HCP non-personal promotion, Consumer experience, Medical Education, brand planning, and preparing the field for a successful launch in partnership with sales teams, sales operations, and training are all within the remit for this critical role.

⦁    Partner with the US Innovative Medicines (IM) Leadership Team and CNS Portfolio Leader to drive overall brand performance and P&L, including working closely with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Patient Services, and Operations & Analytics teams to develop key programs and initiatives.
⦁    Develop and implement roadmap to commercialization for launch. 
⦁    Manage the launch team focused on commercial strategy and launch execution
⦁    Identify critical success factors for launch and develop relevant plans to drive implementation.
⦁    Build pre-launch and launch strategies for HCP personal and non-personal promotion, Consumer experience promotion, and Medical Education plan for the brand.
⦁    Craft a compelling vision for the brand based on a deep understanding of patient, provider, and caregiver journeys.
⦁    Develop comprehensive pre-launch and launch plans designed to ensure flawless execution 
⦁    Lead and develop a team of HCP, Consumer, and Medical Education marketers. 
⦁    Own financial management for the brand pre- and post-launch, including forecasting, budget management, stewardship of agency spend, and setting up measurement of results. 
⦁    Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and instill an ethos of doing things the right way throughout the organization.
⦁    Partner with the Market Access team to evaluate market trends and optimize product access, pricing strategies and create payer marketing materials.
⦁    Develop and implement public relations (PR) strategy for the brand in conjunction with agencies.
⦁    Create core HCP and Consumer launch messaging (unbranded and branded) and creative in partnership with agency of record, Global Marketing, and media agencies while ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
⦁    Lead HCP and Consumer promotion, market research, messaging, and targeting strategy to develop effective go-to-market strategies.
⦁    Work closely with Thought Leader Liaison team on market shaping and customer insights to inform the go-to-market launch strategy and execution. 
⦁    Collaborate with cross-functional teams in HCP & customer experience, marketing, Sales, Sales Ops, Training, Medical, and Market Access to ensure strategic alignment and solid direction.
⦁    Lead and participate in sales and marketing planning meetings.
⦁    Work collaboratively with other members of the Movement Disorder Portfolio team and the broader Innovative Medicines (IM) Marketing organization, including thought leader liaisons.

Your Skills and Experience

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. 

Education/Certification/Experience:
⦁    Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
⦁    A minimum of 10 Years of pharmaceutical experience or relevant brand management experience
⦁    A minimum of  5 Years of marketing experience or equivalent, including leading marketing efforts for new product launches required   
⦁    Strong experience in psychiatry and mental health disorders (preferably movement disorders, Tourette syndrome, bipolar, schizophrenia, neurology, neuro / psych pediatrics), prior experience with people management in marketing and with HCP marketing budgets, and experience in translating customer insights into impactful business strategies and plans preferred

⦁    Team leadership and people management skills; ability to identify the right mix and talent from both internal and external resources and build strong and effective partnerships.

⦁    Able to clearly and succinctly communicate brand vision and strategy to each stakeholder group. 
⦁    Able to lead others outside span of control to achieve strategic and financial plan objectives.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

⦁    Approximately 35% domestic travel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Occasional:
⦁    Sitting for extended periods of time at workstation or mobile equipment.

Visual Acuity:
⦁    Perform activities such as computer work, preparing and analyzing data, and extensive reading.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
⦁    May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).

Salary Range

he annual starting salary for this position is between $181,840-$238,665 annually.  Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
