Job Description

 

The Director of Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) provides strategic advice, thought leadership, and counsel to the organization’s senior management on I&D initiatives. The incumbent is primarily responsible for coordinating and guiding all efforts to define, assess, and foster inclusion and diversity within the organizational culture. Working cross-functionally with colleagues in Human Resources, Environment/Social/Corporate Governance (ESG), External Affairs, Communications, Procurement, and Marketing to name a few, this position will develop and oversee programs, services, and initiatives designed to enhance the experience of employees from diverse and under-represented population groups, and will develop partnerships with communities, customers, patient advocacy groups, etc. to promote Teva’s diversity efforts externally. 

The Director of Inclusion & Diversity will also be the lead for Teva’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), and will maintain up-to-date knowledge required to provide oversight and coordination for Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity programs, in addition to compliance with related federal and state laws.

 

Essential Areas of Responsibility: 
• Developing and implementing regional I&D strategy and programs in alignment with the global I&D strategy framework and company business plans.
• Guiding and governing ERGs to ensure robust participation in I&D initiatives within allocated budget.
• Supporting Talent Acquisition to develop diverse talent pipelines and non-discriminatory hiring practices.
• Developing metrics on the effectiveness of I&D initiatives and preparing reports for senior management on the business ROI of these initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with government diversity/equity regulations and reporting requirements.
• Sponsoring educational training programs to promote I&D and a harassment-free work environment.
• Providing coaching to leaders and managers to enhance their capability to be inclusive leaders and allies.
• Updating Company policies and practices that support a respectful an inclusive culture.
• Providing guidance and developing team members who support execution of I&D initiatives.
• Serving as the Teva SME and regional HR focal point on I&D matters internally and externally.
• Other HR-related responsibilities and assignments as warranted, including but not limited to HR Partner/Generalist support for one or more business units.

***This is a 3/2 hybrid role that will require 3 days onsite in Parsippany, NJ 
 

Qualifications

 

Required Skills:
• Requires Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university. 
• A minimum of 12 years relevant progressive experience in HR management including HRBP/HR Generalist roles, with at least 8 years of experience in the implementation of I&D initiatives.
• Certification and/or other external recognition in the I&D professional community.
• Prior experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Life Sciences industry preferred.

 

Preferred Skills:
• Understanding and proficiency in I&D best practices that can be leveraged within the organization.
• A team player who can manage multiple projects and possesses a strong knowledge of diversity metrics and analytics.
• Solid business acumen gained from HR Partner or business line experiences.
• Proven ability to implement projects/programs and lead change: to transform, align and inspire, build relationships and drive consensus across all levels of the organization.
• Strong operational, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Collaborative with a natural orientation towards community building.
