Job Description

Position Summary

You will be responsible for the solution design, deployment and support of Global Procurement’s systems and tools.  Implementation responsibilities for all systems include requirements gathering through testing and project and change management activities.   Your team will be responsible for the upkeep of all solutions including managing change requests, upgrades, administration and production support.  Collaborate with other Procurement teams and other business functions on initiatives to improve efficiencies through improved automation such as eCatalogs and touchless transactions.

Ensure that S2P processes and systems are aligned with policies & processes.  Propose relevant support tools and services to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes, and alignment of other relevant compliance policies and procedures (eg. FCPA, GxP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide single point of accountability for all Source to Pay systems.
  • Manage the Source to Pay technology roadmap
  • Work with Procurement, Finance and business leaders to develop, update, enhance and rollout Global Procurement solutions that are aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Ensure a seamless linkage across the Source-to-Pay process
  • Manage Ariba and Enterprise SAP project teams to ensure the development, implementation and support of global and regional Procure to Pay (P2P) solutions that drive ongoing value
  • Identify and launch procurement projects and initiatives to improve solutions effectiveness and drive results and compliance
  • Coordinate system audits (eg. SOX) and propose remediations to findings.
  • Primary contact to 3rd Party providers of solutions and IT
  • Lead and develop team



  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, materials mgmt., purchasing, business or engineering is desirable
  • MBA or relevant MS degree preferred
  • Professional Supply Chain or Purchasing certification desirable, e.g., CPSM, CSM, CPM, CPIM, CIRM



  • Minimum 7 years related experience on the functional or IT side of procurement or supply chain organizations
  • Project management or process improvement experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience leading a team
  • Pharma industry experience is preferred, but not required
  • Experience in a global environment, leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple simultaneous projects preferred
  • Experience with Ariba or other S2C/P2P solutions a must
  • Solid understanding of sourcing and contract management and P2P best practices, policies and tools
  • Previous experience with Ariba and other Procurement process and system solutions and associated change management methodologies
  • Proficiency with MS office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences. Experience crafting and delivering communications to influence audiences.  Service oriented, concise and persuasive.


  • Must be able to travel overseas
