The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Associate Director to support the Access & Value team within our Commercial organization. This role will be responsible for delivering technology solutions that enable payer engagement, pricing strategy, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market access landscape and experience implementing digital and data-driven solutions to support value-based healthcare strategies.
Location: This is a hybrid opportunity (3 days/week in office) based in Parsippany, NJ.
How you’ll spend your day
Strategic IT Partnership
- Serve as the primary IT partner for the Access & Value team, including Payer Strategy, HEOR, Pricing & Contracting, and Government Affairs.
- Translate business needs into technology requirements and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year IT roadmap for Access & Value capabilities.
Solution Delivery & Enablement
- Lead the implementation and support of platforms and tools for:
- Payer engagement and contracting
- Value communication and evidence generation
- Pricing analytics and forecasting
HEOR and RWE data platforms
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
Data & Analytics
- Partner with Data & Analytics teams to enable access to real-world data (RWD), claims data, and health economics models.
- Support the development of dashboards and visualizations for payer insights, pricing trends, and access performance metrics.
- Ensure data quality, integration, and compliance with regulatory and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal teams to ensure technology solutions meet cross-functional needs.
- Support digital initiatives that enhance payer value propositions and evidence dissemination.
Vendor & Project Management
- Manage third-party vendors, consultants, and technology partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Lead project planning, execution, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption and business impact.
Your experience and qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of IT or digital experience, with at least 3–5 years supporting Market Access, HEOR, or Pricing & Contracting in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Experience with payer data, RWE platforms, and value-based healthcare technologies.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of the U.S. and global market access environment.
- Familiarity with tools such as Model N, Revitas, SAS, Tableau, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to healthcare data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting specialty or rare disease products.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in pricing, access analytics, or RWE.
- Certifications in Agile, PMP, or ITIL frameworks.
Compensation Data
The annual starting salary for this position is between $150,640 - $197,715 annually. Factors which may affect starting salary within this range and level of role may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
