Job Description

 

 

The Associate Director, GHEOR position functions within the Global HEOR group and will serve as the supporting technical and strategic lead for one or more assets within TEVA’s therapeutic areas. The position will report to a Director, Global HEOR.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

  • In accordance with Teva’s regulatory and governance requirements, contribute to and implement peri and post launch comprehensive evidence generation plans that represent evidence needs in the US, including clinical, economic, and humanistic evidence that inform and contribute to the overall program strategies for one or more assets across key therapy areas in the Teva portfolio.
  • For specific assets, collaborate to ensure that US evidence needs are incorporated in and are congruent with Global & US Medical and Commercial strategies.
  • The AD will act as a liaison between individual global and US market colleagues and GHEOR.
  • Input includes providing guidance and input on Phase 3b/4 studies and post-hoc analyses, and post-launch (RWE) study design from a US HEOR perspective and ensure inclusion of appropriate PRO and health economic endpoints into these, as necessary.
  • RWE studies include, but are not limited to, chart review studies, registry studies, retrospective (claims) database analyses, payer/patient/HCP/caregiver surveys.
  • Furthermore, the AD will contribute to keeping global and US specific payer deliverables up to date (AMCP dossier, global value dossier, global value proposition, and economic models) to maximize asset value proposition.
  • Contribute to the payer value and brand team(s) on specific ways in which the evidence generation plan may be improved and optimized to facilitate informed decision making including comparative effectiveness, pricing, reimbursement and market access negotiations, in compliance with regional regulations for use in promotional material. 
  • Represent Teva before relevant scientific, medical, regulatory, payer, patient and other meetings,  with oversight by the Director, Global HEOR.
  • Keep abreast of the trends in the assigned therapeutic area, HEOR, Pricing, Reimbursement, and Market Access across key regions (US, EU, and international markets), and proactively address GHEOR strategy changes in collaboration with global and regional teams in anticipation of these trends.
  • Build a network of clinical, HEOR and payer experts, including academics, policy makers, HTA representatives, reimbursement influencers and other decision-makers globally to increase the robustness of post-marketing scientific studies in support of market access strategies.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines in adherence with Teva compliance requirements. To this end, regularly prepare and update summaries reflecting ongoing or completed deliverables.
  • Collaborate with scientific communications to provide HEOR input on scientific platform, publication planning, and develop HEOR-related scientific publications to be presented at conferences, publications, dossiers, and other channels as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely and align in a cross-functional matrix team environment and effectively design, execute, and effectively communicate relevant GHEOR study results to internal and external audiences. 

Qualifications

 

 

Required:

  • Looking for a minimum of a masters degree in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant  pharmaceutical/biotechnology/academic/governmental agency experience OR a PhD in Health Economics, Epidemiology, or related field, and a minimum of 3 years of such relevant experience.
  • A pharmacy/clinical/scientific background is preferred.
  • A track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications demonstrating expertise in GHEOR Comprehensive knowledge of own core discipline and good working knowledge of the US health care system and US payer decision making processes 
  • Ability to understand disease space and appropriately plan and deliver GHEOR strategy and studies for specific assets.  Serve as source of expertise/advice in epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics, health policy for cross-functional team members.

  • Some national/international travel may be required.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in application of HEOR strategies and tactics for products near to or close to launch, or that are marketed. 
  • Experience in one or more therapy areas relevant to the Teva portfolio of launched assets would be a plus.
  • Experience with US pricing and reimbursement system and/or value and decision frameworks is preferred.
