Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for distribution operations for all generic and branded pharmaceuticals for Teva USA.  Meet customer expectations with regards to on-time shipping, quality, and accuracy of picking.  Ensure a safe working environment.  Drives continuous improvement mindset and methodology to increase efficiency.
  • Manage 3 shift, 5 days per week distribution operation at the North Wales, PA main distribution center.  Manage receiving, storage, and pick, pack, and ship operations for Controlled Room Temperature (CRT) and Refrigerated product. 
  • Manage 3 shift, 5 day per week distribution operation at the New Britain, PA warehouse.  Manage receiving, storage, and inventory re-positioning for inventory shipping to North Wales DC.  Manage pick, pack, and ship operations for DEA Schedule 2 vault products and DEA Schedule 3-5 cage products.
  • Manage 2 shift, 5 day per week warehouse operations and staff at the Wind Gap, PA warehouse. Manage receiving, storage, and inventory re-positioning for inventory shipping to North Wales DC.  
  • Manage replenishment and inventory management.  Manage team who controls inbound replenishments from New Britain and Wind Gap CRT warehouses.  Manage inventory control process and cycle counting.  Ensure good inventory management practices and inventory accuracy.
  • Manage a staff of 120+ warehouse workers across 3 warehouses through 5 direct reports.  Responsible for safety, employee morale, training of 120+ warehouse staff
  • Manage third party cold chain warehouse located in Manchester, PA. 
  • Responsible for customer service levels, ensuring timely and accurate shipping to customers.
  • Responsible for implementing continuous improvement through Operations Excellence programs.
  • Mentor and train staff to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Must be able to liaise and work with different stakeholders within the company: Commercial Operations, Supply Chain Planning, New Product Managers, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or other relevant field required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Must have 10+ years warehouse operations experience, with at least 7 years of managerial experience. Must have pharmaceutical or life sciences experience.

 

Skills

  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution concepts (GDP, GxP)
  • Experience working within cold chain logistics.
  • Experience and knowledge of DEA controlled substances logistics.
  • Understanding of how to implement and use lean concepts within the warehouse environment.
  • Problem solving and an ability to work in a fast-changing environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of standards, concepts, procedures and best practices to create a safe working environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (training/presentations/reports).
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a diverse environment.

 

Environment

  • Must be able to travel to multiple locations within the commuting area.
  • Must be able to travel overnight on limited occasions.
  • Must be available to support operations during multiple shifts.
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse/distribution environment.
