The opportunity

The position is responsible for serving as the primary point of contact between the company and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical community. This role is critical for driving the company's strategic initiatives by fostering strong relationships with thought leaders, facilitating scientific discussions, and ensuring the alignment of company objectives with expert insights.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with national and regional thought leaders, fostering advocacy for the company's product portfolio.
  • Creates peer to peer education strategy for assigned geography aligned to overarching portfolio objectives.
  • Work across marketing and sales leadership on Speaker Bureau selection and identification of new speakers.
  • Responsible for portfolio level execution including national and regional thought leaders, speaker engagement and medical education programming.
  • Leads and coordinates CNS conferences including sponsorships; CNS communication/messaging, organizing KOL engagements.
  • Represent KOL perspectives to create insights to be leveraged by portfolio marketing teams. 
  • Understand thought leader perspectives and position Teva’s therapies to meet the specific needs of thought leaders and key customers.
  • Act as the primary contact for KOLs, connecting them with relevant departments within the organization, while ensuring compliance with collaboration guidelines.
  • Be a team player by building and maintaining productive, collaborative, and compliant relationships with peers in Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, and Field Sales to address customer needs and share insights.
  • Identify and facilitate local and regional KOL and peer-to-peer engagement opportunities in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the neurology and/or Psychiatry therapeutic space.
  • Handle promotional support requests from the field.
  • Align interactions with other thought leaders and KOLs to ensure a consistent message and experience with Teva.
  • Attend and represent the company at national and regional conferences, society meetings, leadership team meetings, and other relevant events.

Your experience and qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) and Master’s degree preferred
  • For Associate Directors
    • 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience (required)
    • 4 years of previous experience as a thought leader liaison or HCP/Medical Education Marketing (required), with neurology, neuroscience, or psychiatry preferred
  • For Senior Managers
    • 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience (required)
    • 2 years of previous experience as a thought leader liaison or HCP/Medical Education Marketing (required), with neurology, neuroscience, or psychiatry preferred
  • For Managers
    • 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience (required), with 2 years in neurology, neuroscience, or psychiatry preferred
    • Experience in Marketing, Market Access, Field Medical or Field Sales preferred


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Broad domain expertise gained through industry experience and strong knowledge of the neurology therapeutic area specifically

  • Strong scientific and clinical acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
  • Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, with a commitment to ethical conduct
  • Strong project management experience and the ability to manage and coordinate projects with multiple internal stakeholders and vendors on time
  • Excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal skills required
  • Versed in MS Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook


Travel Requirements:
Approximately 60-80% domestic travel throughout the US.    


Selected candidate must live near a major airport and be able to travel regularly throughout the assigned area and attend meetings at both Teva office and off-site locations through the US and periodically internationally as required.

Compensation Data

The annual starting salary for this position is between $108,960 and $186,270 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be eligible for bonus, sales target(s), and/or long-term incentive compensation awards. Level of the role will be commensurate to years of experience and performance criteria.
