Job Description

Position Summary: Logistics Coordinator

Under minimum supervision, this position serves as the inbound/outbound scheduler for three distribution sites utilizing the WM transportation calendar/Web based tools. This person will be the primary contact for all inbound transportation scheduling working with carriers, logistics providers and other Teva team members.

 

**This is a 1st Shift position**

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities             

  • Is the inbound receiving point of contact for all distribution sites
  • Creates the slotting capacity for the three Teva distribution sites
  • Follows the process of carrier performance and compliance by documenting and tracking for monthly metric preparation and performance improvement
  • Investigates inbound transportation issues such as delays, appropriate temperature set points, non-compliance
  • Working directly with transportation carriers, logistic providers and internal personnel scheduling all inbound receipts. Contacts carriers and supports the Supply Chain Logistics department for outbound scheduling
  • Enters all appointment schedules into the master scheduler promptly.  Tracks arrival and delays of carriers with communication to the distribution team.  Maintains the master scheduler with appropriate communicate when changes occur
  • Prints and prepares all inbound receiving documents prior to arrival of the shipments including, AWB/BOL, packing slip, delivery orders and identifies any missing information preventing the receiving team from the systemic receipt prior to arrival
  • Prepares international folders for Custom Compliance
  • Utilizes radio frequency (RF) system and operates fork-lift to unload trucks, receive shipments, and put-away inventory as a back-up to the receiving team when time permits
  • Assists in implementing and incorporating stated 5S and OPEX initiatives as needed

Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures

Other duties, as assigned; or as business needs require- i.e. general housekeeping, labeling product, cycle counting via RF system, etc.

  • Strong customer service skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task and change priorities throughout the day
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Complete understanding of inbound scheduling, shipping and receiving requirements, system applications and inbound suppliers
  • Proficiency in WM, Outlook, Excel and Word

 

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Inbound transportation scheduling (1 year preferred)
  • Customer service skills (1 year preferred)
  • OPEX/Performance Tracking
  • Warehousing and distribution

 

Physical Requirements:  Regularly required to stand/sit up to 8.0 hrs. Specific vision abilities required are a minimum of 20/40 close vision, 20I40 distance vision, peripheral vision of at least 120 degrees combined, normal depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  Must wear his/her corrective lenses, if needed to meet the requirement.  Must be able to hear audible alarms and communications.
