Job Description

The Procurement Manager, R&D will support various global R&D Teams by leading the development and implementation of ccontracts for R&D Procurement, with a focus on (but not limited to) the following areas: Contract Research Organizations (CROs); Central Laboratories, specialty labs, ECG service providers, patient diary providers, imaging service providers, spirometry equipment providers, IRT, packaging and labeling services and providers of biomarkers and genomic testing.

The Procurement Manager, R&D actively contributes to and supports the development and implementation of the global R&D category strategy within the Global Procurement organization. the PM, R&D ensures alignment with other regional and global category leaders in order to successfully deliver the category strategic objectives. 

The PM strives to generate and deliver ongoing value through year-on-year savings and by ensuring the timely supply of quality goods & services in this category on behalf of the Teva Businesses globally.  He/she will seek to ensure stability and security of these services and supplies that is in line with defined current and future business needs at lowest total cost of acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required - Supply chain, materials mgmt., purchasing, business or engineering major is desirable; advanced degree and/or certification preferred
  • 3+ years of procurement/sourcing experience
  • Procurement support for Pharma/R&D operations
  • Proficiency in Project Management
  • Experience with sourcing processes and tools. Ability to draft and manage the RFP process, perform spend analytics, and develop recommendations
  • Specialty and Generics R&D operations (Pre-Clinical, Clinical)
