Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Legal:-

 

  1. Review, draft and execute various types of agreements including service agreements, clinical trial agreements, contract staff letter of engagements, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements and other types of agreements and legal documents;
  2. Draft Reply letters and notices to various statutory authorities and third party vendors;
  3. Collaborating with internal compliance team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as with internal policies, and work closely with Global R&D Legal team to ensure full alignment with internal policies and applicable laws and regulations;
  4. Draft and review opinions, advise and review of various agreements and project contract;
  5. Represent Teva/Lotus in various Litigations;
  6. Draft note for counsels and brief the matter to external counsel, when required;
  7. Support Teva India/Lotus with arbitration procedures along with external counsels;
  8. Advisory to the cross functional teams on corporate, legal matters and issues, thereby providing solutions in order to mitigate risk exposures to the organisation.

 

Secretarial:-

 

  1. Convene Board Meetings and General Meetings, preparing agenda and minutes, finalize meeting related documents and Completing pre and post meeting formalities for legal entities in India;
  2. Update Teva India legal team for various update in laws from time to time;
  3. Coordinate with external company secretaries for upload of various forms with Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor of Law (L.L.B), from reputed university in India, and registered attorney in India with at least 3-4 years of experience;
  2. Prior experience  in law firm or reputed corporate will be preferred;
  3. Associate Company Secretary would be preferred but not mandatory;
  4. Experience drafting and negotiating agreements particularly in the field of life sciences;
  5. Must possess excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills;
  6. Ability to interface effectively and establish credibility with business partners and clients;
  7. High creativity, energy, integrity, thoughtful judgment and decision-making;
  8. Must be a team player as well as with an ability to work independently;
  9. English- Mother tongue;
  10. Extensive knowledge of Companies Act and various other applicable laws in India and laws with regards to pharmaceutical Industry would be a plus;
  11. A results-oriented and hands-on approach to completing assigned tasks.
